Does anybody have a seemingly unattainable Grail??

I've been searching for Presentation de Chevaux in the Gris color way forever.

It's nowhere to be found so it must be way too pretty for anybody to ever let it go!!

Haha, TGG -- I'm looking for that one too! I'm sorry to admit how many of Mai Tai's scarves seem to be just what I'm looking for... And don't even mention scarf rings & fur collars.

This strikes me as a really exquisite and unique cw of the generally beloved Turandot. I'm not familiar with the seller:

There are some colorways that really didn't get bought...this gray one and the pumpkin one come to mind. I've had four different cws, and one, which was pink with mint green, I never saw anyone else have. The other three were the blue/orange, the Aubergine and salmon/etoupe.

Wish I didn't sell my green c'est la fete! That and my Central Park Conservatory are grails for me now.

Les Toits de Paris is my grail. It comes up in eBay but I can't bring myself to go to $300. And now my husband thinks I'm an eBay addict b/c I'm constantly checking the site on my phone in case it slips on to the Bay without its name so I can jump on it immediately. I really need to relax on this one a bit but my husband and I just spent our 20th anniversary in Paris and this scarf synthesizes that experience for me! Ah, well, someday..,,

The blue Turandot has been in my hands for a couple of weeks now . At first I wasn't sure, but it's worked its charm and now I am thrilled to have it . My red is in perfect like new condition, but this blue [ despite blurb on E***] has done a fair few neck miles , feels more like vintage silk and also carries a faint staleness .Pricewise it's been a fair deal .
So it's going to be given workhorse status , I don't want it to feel too precious and formal so here it is literally flung on .And then pandering to the diva a more formal knot.
Would I pick up a third Turandot ? Probably not, none of the others speak to me though as we know things in H world can change on the head of a pin!

Hi Frou Frou - Lovely, lovely look! Is it possible to share with how you tie these two looks? I am trying to 'copy' .. though I suspect I would not be able to look as lady-like as you have :D:D Thanks!!

CaviarChanelThank so much ,I'm immersed in my tax return , yuk, and came up for air by looking here!
The second one is easy to explain , it's done by folding scarf in half, take opposite corners of rectangle and pull gently .Put resulting shape around your neck and tie , then pull it around to whichever side pleases you .
The first , I think I did a fat bias fold and as if to do a hacking knot but instead of knotting in front I passed the ends around the loop and tied to one side .I can't quite remember , for me each knot is a result of twiddling and in this case I wanted to show the pattern of the scarf .

Mine too , I posted it a couple of months ago, but didn't buy it on the end, a ridiculous price and I can wait.

I saw the grey one too , not sure about that one.

I have Turandot in this colorway and it's as beautiful as others IRL. Turandot is just an amazing design
About this scarf above IMHO: Looks like the care tag has been re-attached (see the unusual stitching) and judging from the corners it has been washed several times.

Hi frou frou - Thank you for taking the time to explain the knots. I guess one just have to 'fiddle' around after tying to achieve whatever side of the scarf we want to show. :giggles:
p/s: I will now attempt to use the first knot for an equestrian scarf that I own and never worn as I don't know how to hide the horses' eyes. :shucks: (red la danse du cheval marwai)

Happy to share my take on knotting!
Do share your result with Danse Marwari ,is it from the first issue ? That's a real grail:D

I'd love to see your grey Turandot in action if you have time and inclination, Mrs Kim

We'll wait and stalk Les Toits together! It seems to me that some scarves' popularity wax and wane. Here's hoping that all eyes turn to a new favorite soon.

I don't think it's a mainstream grail , but it does command prices far over current retail , so 300 $ would be a bargain.
I'm hesitant because last time I discussed it here , the verdict was it does not tie well , therefore unless my fave c'way comes up for a steal I 'll be passing !
