But I'm done with grails but one, remember?

I think I may have reached saturation actually. Just had an odd experience: another of my YoI "eventuals" is available at an obscenely low price and.....nothing. I feel nothing. Certainly no urge to get it. Though I do still think it's lovely. But goodness! Two scarves for Christmas from the boys and one enroute from my father selected by me (which note: caused zero hesitation). So yeah. Saturation. For now.

But never fear; Savana Dance will fix that! [emoji4]

Pirula Yes you need to spend some time with those new scarves from your dear ones . They are all amazing I'm sure , and however much of a steal something may be now it will always fall short because at the moment you have your lovelies to enjoy.

Noooo! You are all perfect the way you are
You know there are all sorts of economies you can use in the home …bread and water and sell the furniture but don't cut back on scarves!
You will miss bargains on the Bay .
You will miss lots of grails[ [Pirula you hear?]

And this thread which has risen like the proverbial phoenix will sink into ashes .
Oh ….anyone planning on a Mythiques Phoenix this season?
Sooo beautiful...
After seeing rainne' s post, I am thinking about Myth Phoenix. Waiting to see VItaminaH and her blue CW.

I am just happy to know that I'm not the only one who keeps a spreadsheet to keep track of scarf purchases! :D
Yes, I have an excel file. I like to keep track of the CW names, what season, where I bought it, what price.
I also have a word file where I have been saving info from scarf stories, Etc. I also try to photograph every scarf.
All pretty nerdy, but then I am an. Ex- techie.

Oh frou frou. You are cracking me up. DH thinks I have lost my mind. I'm not sure he's wrong. I'm up to 74 in less than two years. But say it with me.... Twillies don't count! A friend who is a shrink says all people with disposable income have hobbies and collections are reasonable hobbies. I'm going with that theory.

Oh good. I'm thinking of starting a spreadsheet too. so I'm not the only nut. Or maybe we have all lost our minds together.
Twillys don't count! But as I only have one, that doesn't change my total scarf count by much!
Wow, PBP, I know you have been buying a lot of scarves, but you have definitely passed me by!

I'm an ex-techie too! I love spreadsheets. They are great for keeping track of collections. My scarf spreadsheet has one tab with my current scarves, with season, CW, date of purchase, price, and any notes I might have about it. The other tab, which is constantly changing, is my list of wants. It changes all the time as I learn about designs via this thread and the other wonderful scarf threads here.

[emoji23]. I'm not that organized. But I do have an HSCI page. And a Pinterest board. And a handwritten listing of each design title, year of issue, and artiste. [emoji15]

So impressed with the spreadsheet keepers - seems very professional! With you Pirula in my book keeping, but have "graduated" to list the scarves in Word documents, with title, year of issue, artiste and my home made descriptions of the CW - spectacularly wrong mostly, because I more or less by all my (older) scarves on the net, and they normally don't come with that sort of information.

What's an HSCI page? I've been HSCI since maybe 2002, so I'm not sure what you mean. I used to have spreadsheets, I should dig an old one up, but it will be a lot of work to update, it's been a few years. What I always do, though, is any time I get anything H, as soon as it gets home I photograph it, from multiple angles. I have thousands of photos!

There are some scarves over the years that I had and sold that I would love to see again. I would love to find the Central Park by Toutsy in the green and periwinkle cw (not with the yellow). One scarf I fell in love with too late was Dans les Branches de l'Ombu. DS1 selected it in the light blue/white cw for me when I took him to a sale years ago and it has turned out to be my all-time winner...it pretty much goes with everything I ever wear, and it's my ski scarf, too. I wish I had more of that design.

It's this nifty database that catalogs Hermes scarves. MarieTouchet gave me "homework" of sorts in my early days on the forum and asked me to contribute to it. It's a really valuable resource. And it's nice because you can create a folder with pictures of all your scarves. I find it very handy because I am still very much into only getting scarves that bring something unique to my wardrobe. So now, whenever I get a new scarf, I send her a picture of it if she doesn't already have it cataloged.
