I mean, how could I resist this??:

You couldn't dear Pirula!!! It is so wonderful in you...And, I dye each time I see the Violine hem:graucho:
I am going to snap a couple of quick photos of my CLFs as requested shortly, but I wanted to share this. While I was researching the various colorways of CLF I had a thought: what if they reissued this design in a CSGM? I would probably trip over myself running to the store to buy it in every color!
I would be tripping over myself to buy them all too bedhead!!!
I've luckily managed to track down all of my original HG scarves. The ones that are particularly special to me are:

1) Ex Libris en Kimonos in cw01 - encre/framboise/jaune. I was in H one day lamenting the fact that all the scarves on my wishlist were from old collections. The SA asked me which ones I was looking for. ELeK was top of the list. Turns out they'd found one in their storeroom the day before. In the exact cw I wanted. Fastest purchase ever!

2) C'est la Fête - I have this in cw12 (gris/anthracite/gris foncé) and cw05 (bleu nuit/gris/prune). The grey was courtesy of a lovely Parisian gentleman who was selling via leboncoin. Turns out he's a tPF member too! The second ClF was from Poupishop who are a great source of HG items. Thought I'd completely missed the boat on these but managed to find two within a year.

3) Fleurs d'Indiennes in cw07 - (gris bleuté/orange/turquoise). This was complete luck. Just happened to decide to browse leboncoin one day and saw someone selling this not only in great condition but also at a fantastic price.

My current HGs are the Mythiques Phoenix pareos in both cw. I didn't buy these at the time as I was on a no-buy having just got a Double Sens. Wish I'd bought the pareos instead [emoji19]
Congratulations in funding all your original HG's. I LOVE them all.
Here is one of them, in the Ciel/Bleu/Bleu Nuit colorway, which I wore today! I almost thought this colorway was too light for me but it goes great with gray, black, and dark blue clothes and accessories, which is like 90% of my wardrobe anyway.
I get goose bumps every time I see this design!!!! gorgeous
La Presentation de Chevaux in the steely bleu gris colorway.....
Our lovely Mai Tai has one and I have been forever searching...to no avail.
I so hope you will find it soon texasgirliegirl!!!!
I agree about the small details but I would love to see a huge horse and rider in a cashmere! I would also love to see it in a 90 in silk because I find the 70 a bit small on me, but maybe that's just because I'm not as proficient at knotting as most of you are. I'm still learning.
+100

The grail I was expecting on Saturday never arrived. Hopefully today. I have one other in the works and don't want to jinx it. In the meantime, here are my two remaining grails. The first is fleurs d'indiennes in Mai tai's colors. So summery and bright. The second is printemps ete 69 automne hiver 70 in taupe and blue. What can I say? I am a child of the 70s. I love the outfits on the women, the H border and the color combination.

Wonderful HG's. I hope you find them soon PBP
Any interest in a particular design triggers LOTS of readers and sellers. It always has been like that, for as long as I can remember. A few reasons for that ....

There seem to be more bids if I authenticate, so I can make the price go up (ABSOLUTELY no intention on my part). The issue is 2 fold: Authenticated scarves command a better price but by bringing up the design makes people look and think about something new

Yes professional scarf sellers READ this forum, and might trot one out from the closet based on interest here BUT

I think the real phenomenon is that many sellers are really part time collector/sellers rather than full time pros. They sell mostly to cull their own purchases. and may have a scarf - that they are not sure of - they may suddenly think of selling it if they see a lot of interest in it (BIG price). Anyone with more than 5 scarves has sold a few at some time or another. Everyone is a scarf seller.

Moral of the story: if you have a grail and want it at a good price, never ask to have it authenticated here & never discuss it onlne LOL
It is true that the last two scarves I had you authenticate for me....jump up way over the price
I could pay;(. I do believe that certain members poach your authenticate thread, too!!!
Yes, but quietly ask your friends first ... Deliberate posting to flush out grails at any cost is a dangerous practice ... it might cause you to go outside your own financial comfort zone BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY I have seen this lead to temporary STRATOSPHERIC inflation in the prices of scarves

Rencontre Oceane went for obscene prices a few years ago when it got talked up, now, no one cares any more hardly

In the Hermes world, there are always buyers with DEEPER POCKETS than yourself, they get a bee in their bonnet and will pay $1400 for a 90cm twill because they got interested from some post at TPF
Yep, there are so many pockets deeper than mine:laugh:
No, I have been on a little quest lately to get my grails out of the way so I stop looking at eBay out of curiosity. Last week I received turandot and ex Libris en kimonos. I bought les triples a few weeks ago. Something else came in the mail today. I have one more in the works and two still on my wishlist and not anywhere to be found. I thought I had a printemps ete 69 last week but the store made a mistake and it was already sold. I'm not sure that I would really label them all grails but things I saved over the past year thinking they were nice and I kept coming back to them in my mind. It was a longer list but I definitely looked hard and decided which ones I wanted the most. Here are the ones I received already.

Three wonderful HG's PBP!!! I am so happy for you:graucho:
I have a folder called "wishlist" on my Phone, it contains pictures of the things I want to have and screenshots of the maison des carres-site in order to have all the numbers.
But there are only consignment shops close by, they cannot search the others and in the next country they told me "all sold out"... So the pursuit of the grail makes me discover more of Europe...

The discussion about resellers is interesting. Have you read "Bringing home the Birkin" by Michael *******? I had so much fun doing so .

edit: fun how the authors name is automatically made into *****
I have a Hermes wish list folder on my I Pad.:graucho:I save pictures of my HG's and just major wants, too. I haven't read that book yet.
Today's Grail: cest la fete View attachment 3162264

I LOVE this on you!!!!

For the grail: I found yet another colorway of C'est la Fete, which is a design that I have basically been obsessed with since I first saw it. I will post it shortly. I'm having trouble taking a photo of myself that shows it properly while also not making myself look like I have more chins than I really do.
When I dove headfirst into the collecting frenzy I picked up a couple of pieces from an online consignment shop I have shopped and consigned with for many years. I thought that purchasing scarves online would be ok, as I've done so many times in the past for Alexander McQueen and other scarves. I got Emperon D'Or and it is beautiful, but no matter how I tie it, there always seems to be too much bright green and gold near my face, which I find unflattering. Likewise with the colorway I got in Le Tarot - the black/gold/white is lovely and I love the design, but it seems that there's always too much gold near my face. I have pale skin and red hair, and too much of any yellow-based color up by my face can make my skin look a little sallow.

That said, they are beautiful and I do like looking at them, so I haven't decided what to do with them yet. I have, however, decided not to buy any more scarves online unless they meets two criteria: a) it is an absolute, utter grail that makes my heart flutter just thinking about it; and b) I have either seen it in person or seen enough photos of it being actually worn to know how it will work with my wardrobe and coloring.

(Pardon my terrible descriptions of the colorways of the older scarves - I'm still learning!)
I am right with you bedhead! I am truly obsessed with C'est! I only own in CW so far. But, I would love them all:graucho: Congrats on your new find!
Nope. Perfect descriptors!

Ooooh! I can't wait to see this C'est la Fete!!!

All but 2 of mine have been purchased online. Including from H.com, but I'm high contrast in coloring and pretty neutral. So while some things work better than others, few things absolutely don't work, and I generally know what they are and stay away.

Bring on C'est la Fete!
Most all of my scarves have been purchase online too, Pirula.
Here they are! I have three colorways - C'est la Fete a Paris, which is a bunch of very dark blues and blacks, a light one in Ciel/Bleu/Bleu Nuit, and another darker one in Prune/Marine/Gris Fumée.

Bonus photo of my scarf storage drawers - clear so I can see them all!
Oh I'm soooo in love!!!!! Congratulations;). Do you have a favorite? Where did you get your
Clear storage drawers? Do they work well? I need to do something like this as well. Would you mind posting some more pictures. Thanks.
Oh these are beautiful! I can't choose a favorite. They are all so nice.

The drawers are cool. I just started using a new tray system. It's so nice to be able to see them all at once.
Oh do tell PBP. What is your storage tray system like....please share. I need to stop keeping mine in their boxes:roflmfao:
I, too, never tire of looking at C'est la Fete! It's one of my all time fave H designs and remains at the top of my grail list! So lucky you are to have 3! :D:D

My collection is still fairly small compared to many on here but I can't imagine ever parting with any of them. I do wear all of my scarves, and I realize as my collection grows and grows I will wear each one less as there are more to choose from, but I don't think I would part with them; perhaps I buy to wear AND to collect? Or maybe I am too much of a sentimentalist
I am just like you Bostonjetset! I am a very sentimental collector. I was just born that way;)
You and me both BJS. We're of one mind.

Ok, I think the three of us might be of one mind;)

It is! I was in the store a couple of weeks ago and wasn't even looking for this CW, but my SA showed it to me and I absolutely loved it.
This CW keeps call to me....It looks beautiful in you;)
Thank you Tyger Tyger twin!

One more photo for today wearing CLF in my now-favorite colorway.
I am drooling over my computer right now.
Here is the Grail I received today. Trophees de Venise in Aubergine. I bookmarked MyH's a very long time ago when she posted it. But I haven't seen it for sale until recently. I actually bought a slightly different one from the real real last week and then this one went up on eBay. So I'm returning the real real one which is a steal if anyone doesn't mind terra cotta rather than Aubergine. Here is Aubergine. View attachment 3166599
I'm so glad that you found it! I LOVE this too. This design is one of my HG's. Is the terra cotta CW the same colors except TC instead of the burgundy? How was the condition of it? Thanks PBP
Yes!!! Hermès scarves are like husbands!!!!

J agrees, except for the "having more than one" part. [emoji23]
You mean we aren't supposed to have more than one hubby?!?:roflmfao:
Yay, welcome to the 'dark side' looks fabulous!

I have that Fleur Indienne :graucho: love, love, love it. I bought it on-line, sight unseen, before it even hit the shops

I'm after coeur de vie in Bleu Glacier 21 - annoyingly there is still one on the US H.com :smash: I love my mega-watt bright one but light blues don't often suit me and I was silly not to get it.

I could take a la femme aux semelle 90 in every colour I don't have and a couple of the shawls too

I should have bought the dark blue Quintessence (as well as the black and the white)

Never mind, can't have everything :p
I would so love to see and play with all your gorgeous scarves dear papertiger:graucho: You have such an amazing collection;)
While we're showing off our Trophees *giggle*, these rag and bone sandals just dropped on my front doorstep and look at what they match! Oy I think I need a burgundy clic clac now. Danger danger!
View attachment 3166721

Perfect match!!! Thanks for sharing....a burgundy clic clac would be gorgeous:graucho:

Sigh. No can do. But for any others of you with the Prune/Marine/Gris C'est la Fete as a Grail, here you go (I know nothing about this seller):

http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/221923302621
I wish it had gone to me.... Someday we will be able to get ours Pirula!
I forgot all about wanting this grail scarf until I saw it recently (but in the wrong cw). Hopefully this post will flush one out at a reasonable price? Let's see if our theory of posting our grails here really works!

Cocottes de soie 70cm in either the burgundy or navy blue cw (the two on the left) in this pic.
View attachment 3169719
Oh, I like this design...very cool with the origami! I hope you find it;)
Ok I promised to reveal why les triples was a Grail for me. Can you tell from this? My favorite people watching spot for lunch. It's a beautiful sunny day and I'm in heaven. View attachment 3169911
What a perfect Grail and story!
I'm glad this thread was revived, and I hope that it doesn't make the market go sky high!

It's been fun reading about everyone's grails - Turandot, ExLenK are so gorgeous! It's funny how some designs became grails immediately (like C'est la Fete or La Femme aux Semelles de Vent) and others are dark horses that become grails later.

I have one grail but I'm virtually certain none of the CWs from the original issue would work on me, so I'm making regular offerings to the H gods for a reissue. Being a great lover of both Annie Faivre and ballet, Les Ballets Russes is my HG, but only in a flattering CW :smile1:
This is such a fun fanciful design! I hope that H reissues it for you!
My grail is something that is reflects the house's heritage in design and spirit - Pegase de Hermes in ultra violet. It's a work of art that is functional and fantastical. I would love to get my hands on the white / black to frame in my office. Still kicking myself for letting it get away.
The ultra violet is one of my HG's too.
My grails have evolved a lot since the beginning of my addiction, can you believe I let go one Zaba, one Cave Felem and one Noël au 24.... I think grails are unique to each of us and mine are with me now...so I am happy ... Les pegases 💚

Oh, that must be painful to have let them go.... But, your Les Pegases collection is magical!!!! I hope to be your Violet twin someday.

Okay, I need to post two! Also from 2008 and The Year of India, the Jamdani shawl... This weaving technique is highly skilled and is classified as a great heritage tradition by UNESCO. It took me six years to find my two pieces. This is the ivory one with gold jamdani embroidery.
I LOVE both your HG's arabesques! Patience finally paid off for you;). Can you tell me which purple your trim is???
I have had two grails, cashmere shawls, both of which I now own.
Noir/beige cheval sur mon carre from 07 and the turquoise tohu bohu shawl from 06[emoji7][emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]
Both are so stunning Lovely!!! So happy you own them;)
Happy Halloween from Paris. My last full day.[emoji22]

Cest la fete of course

Of course, I LOVE this photo :D
Interesting to read how you're connected to Indian-themed scarves. We're in the process of moving to India, and I've been to India a few times before. I'm fairly new to H so I only learned about the year of India not too long ago. I was so glad to find that there's a thread dedicated to the year of India, which helped me a lot. And of course I fell in love with quite a few of them, just like how I fell deeply in love with India. And I realized that my first CSGM Aux Portes du Palais is a reissued from that year. How it's meant to be! So far I've purchased all my scarves from the boutique (got the marwari dip dye as well) but I'm slowly learning and venturing out to hopefully get more from that year. I'm not that into classic iconic scarves but more into those speak to me and connect to me with my personal experiences. I actually prefer it to be less "iconic" if possible.

I love big cat themed as well, so it's kept me quite busy. :D:D

Please do visit India someday! You will love it!
Congratulations on your up coming move to India! I also love APdP! I own two CW's of CSGM. And, I am also a huge big cat lover.
I second this motion! Marietouchet - will you please show some of your HG here? We'd love to see them
Yes, please marietouchet!!!! We NEED to see some of your grails:graucho:
I third Marietouchet making an appearance to show her treasures. :smile1:

Here is a pic of me in my anthracite Venezia from my archives. I used to also have the pink cw and the loden cw but I decided not to be greedy and released those to other collectors.

This is stunning Seton!!! Wow, I have never seen the CSGM...Thank you so much for sharing

Thank you, GG. The Trim is Raisin (the old one) Epsom. It was my first leather H bag and it remains a beloved piece.

I will pull out a few ...
Oh boy, I can hardly wait:woohoo:
Scarf queens in da house! :woohoo::woohoo:
Keep em coming! Seton - I think that is the first time I've ever seen that CSGM. I can't even begin to imagine both your scarf vaults. :faint::faint::faint:
I second that thought! Scarf queens in da house!!! I would LOVE to see more of both of your HG's :graucho:
Thank you dear greengoddess! It's so nice to have friends here who understand... [emoji8]

I totally agree dear Pirula!:hugs:

OMG OMG OMG!!

For all my fellow C'est la Fete lovers, H has released a new Daisuke Nomura design!! It's called Caducee Rock and whilst it is not AS wonderful as CLF, it's still pretty fabulous and features similar design motifs. The colorways fabulous as well. However, it's a CSPM [in the men's dept I believe they are 100cm rather than the 90s that they used to have back in the day for ladies] so I may have to wait and see if it is re-issued in a 70 or 90 as I prefer all silk.

Wouldn't you like one CS for the collection? It gets cold in Boston!!! Think how fabulous this will look in the dead of winter. While everyone else is freezing:laugh:

I love this design! I saw it online and my husband just picked this one up for me in the black/gray/anthracite colorway. I haven't opened the box yet due to a very busy weekend but I'm spending tonight reorganizing my bags and scarves after a visit to the Container Store today, so I'll open it up and post a photo a little later.

I have a feeling that I'll have to try to resist the temptation to pick up the prune colorway. I have a tab open in my browser so I can keep looking at it.

The main reason I try and stick with all silk is that I have facial hair and thus cashmere always pills on me. I bought a beautiful alpaca/silk scarf in Peru and every time I wear it it gets fuzzier :-( With the price of CS from H, I prefer not to risk it. They are just so expensive; I could almost buy 3 90s for the price of 1 CSGM or 2 90s for the price of a CSPM. And since I am a sucker for the beautiful designs that H puts out, I know I would not be happy with just one pattern for the whole year when I could buy multiple in silk.
