I can't wait to see these bedhead!

Here is one of them, in the Ciel/Bleu/Bleu Nuit colorway, which I wore today! I almost thought this colorway was too light for me but it goes great with gray, black, and dark blue clothes and accessories, which is like 90% of my wardrobe anyway.

Frou Frou - this is a coincidence because I have always wanted this scarf too but in the deep bordeaux cw. But I have always held back because of the wide border too! It is so cute to look at but I think would not tie very well. So I am on the fence (or on the roof) when it comes to this one. And the prices are never friendly for this design.

Yes , we're both holding back for all the right reasons !
It feels like the times when I'd say no to a date because I knew the guy was a serial womaniser : sensible but missing out :shucks:
A lovely TPF friend wore the blue version without a knot but held with magnets and it looked lovely .Immediately recognisable and very special .
I'm someone who leaves the house all nice and neat and returns with creased clothes, scarf awry and hair like a haystack so I need a knot of some sort .

Oh, you mistook me for a native speaker? How flattering :smile1:

Thank you. I know that listing, but it is the wrong CW. I already have this one, a consolation piece somehow...

I did! And I guess I was too much of a moron to notice that your location is quite clearly displayed as "Europe". Ugh. So sorry to get your hopes up, but since it is a "best offer" situation maybe it will work out total price wise? Assuming she'll ship. I hope so.

Oh Pirula so good to be understood!
My grail is the copper colouration of Toits de Paris' since I saw it on a scarf blog in the dim and distant Early Collecting Years .
The design does not tie well IMHO as the cute details of cat and girl at her window ,as ever in earlier designs, disappear in the tying .The all important corners are boring [ relatively speaking] and wide borders are never my fave.
.
But ……look at those shutters and chimney pots ! All is forgiven

I did not know this one, what a stunner!
I know the pain of a scarf that looks better open than tied. Flamingo Party gave me a hard time, there was no CW that flattered me, but I liked the picture. So I made a 15 cm printout to adorn my office. I might do this with your Toits as well ;)

She was at IKEA, the movies and painting a new stand for my massively growing indoor jungle.

Now hyperventilating, because "Item does not ship internationally"
Just contacted the seller, waiting for a reply.
It hurts, paying custos and import taxes into EU for a French item shipped from the US...

Oh dear. I am crossing my fingers (all 10) for you! I understand your pain as I pay VAT.

I tried on a bunch when they were at the H sale and yeah, does not tie well IMO. :nogood:

Shame, still ….you have this one [ which I find so lovely as it has some orange and that divine cerise hem] and I'm sure 'the ' one will appear in Europe soon.
Really , for us over here buying from USA is insane as customs always check incoming mail from there .
The only way is if the seller will tell a little fib about the value ,but obviously that will affect the insurance .

Oh that really stinks. Here in the US they are not so efficient thank goodness.

This thread is fabulous , thanks to Bostonjet set :flowers:

Reading about everyone's grails achieved and in the future, I'm wondering why we don't buy anything except grails ….over retail or not .
It would still be cheaper than stashing all those silks we like but don't adore.
I'm more and more attracted to the idea of having a small and perfectly formed collection , say 5 CSGMs and 4 90cm and 4 70cm .
The problem lies with the fact I'm addicted to the buying high and tpf

My grails are La Femme aux Semelles du Vent CSGM , black and noisette.
Concours d'Etriers CSGM in acid yellow
and Turandot in red .
I paid over retail for the last two and never regret it .

Many scarves were grails until I laid my hands on them, when the allure somehow evaporated .

It's all a wonderful mystery …

La Femme aSdV is a WONDERFUL pattern also. It's on my list of "eventuals" as well. I really want Tsubas too HAHA. I tried to limit my HG list to five so I posted the 5 I want most but in fact there are many many retired patterns I want to add to my collection.

CLF is #1 as it just spoke [screamed!] to me the moment I saw it; there is so much symbolism and it's so interesting to gaze at. Siam is #2 because it is an ode to my favourite country ever visited. Daimyo is just stunning and I studied Japanese in undergrad. I could go on and on....it's so easy to find reasons to love various patterns!! HAHA

I mean, how could I resist this??:

SIMPLY. STUNNING! [and you know I love a contrast hem! ]

I am going to snap a couple of quick photos of my CLFs as requested shortly, but I wanted to share this. While I was researching the various colorways of CLF I had a thought: what if they reissued this design in a CSGM? I would probably trip over myself running to the store to buy it in every color!

Here is one of them, in the Ciel/Bleu/Bleu Nuit colorway, which I wore today! I almost thought this colorway was too light for me but it goes great with gray, black, and dark blue clothes and accessories, which is like 90% of my wardrobe anyway.

This colorway shows off the design perfectly and makes a "dark" scarf appear brighter. A+++++

If CLF is reissued I hope it is not in a CSGM as I am prefer the silks. Maybe they will reissue in a CSGM AND in 70 again but with new colorways....that would be great!

I am also not a big fan of wide borders but I always seem drawn to scarves that have them because the insides are so interesting!! This is a stunning design...so much fun!

Thank you BJS! :hugs: I'm so glad you like it too. The lavender (violine?) contrast hem on this one is just divine.

I agree on ClF in silks, I think the small details in this may get lost in a cashmere vs. a silk. I'd love it in a 70 again or even a 90. Again, in a gavroche it might get lost. I find I love the gavroches in the all over, smaller patterns. Hopefully they'll release in both silk and cashmere and make everybody happy!

Big borders leave me flat too, and I've avoided them. It's the main reason I haven't gone for a Paddock, much as I like it. I just can't be bothered to always use a knot that shows off the center and I don't love the big borders tied. Ah well....Happily, I can very much enjoy them on others here!
