Scarves Your Grail Scarf

I have 2 grails:
Mythiques Phoenix, CW 10 almond green/vanilla/brown
This was my first scarf, it means so much to me as I got it when I quit my old job and started another, I felt like a Phoenix myself. And I just LOVE the pattern and colors. If I had to give away all my hermes but one I would keep that.
The grail I am still hunting is De la mer au ciel CW 8 blue/green/mauve. I like the pattern so much I got it in a different CW, but it just is not the same. The blue one is so watery *swoon*
I asked for it at 6 different boutiques, check ebay every day, all in vain...

Phoenix was one of my grails as well, the Anthracite; oh how I love it. [emoji173]️. I'm not familiar with your cw; do you have a pic please?

You are brilliant to start this thread again Bostonjetset!!! I never saw it before....I will post my long list later. I found my C'est la Fete abou 6 months ago!!! It was well worth the wait!!!! I so wish H would re issue this design. I think it is might be my favorite Turnadot is on my list too

WHAT!!!!! That is the color way I have been looking for forever!!!!! And, at a reasonable price...I think I just fainted! Congratulations on such a great find. I hope to be your twin someday....

It is amazing you have collected most of your grails Pirula!!! I wish I could say the same....But, I'm working on it. The C'est CW you like is the one I have surprise surprise. I LOVE it!!! It was well worth my wait and inflated price.

OMG, thank you so much for posting this stunner!!! It is even more gorgeous than I remember!!! Calling all scarf fairies....send one my direction, PLEASE!!! And, for a reasonable price If, you wouldn't mind letting me live vicariously....would you post mod shots sometime I am so happy for you! You should get the hanging kit and display it if you don't wear it.

Yes, yes Chartrues!!!!! One of my favorite shades of green....with that dark sultry purple!!


Escargots is in my list too. Oh I'll have to post pictures of my C'est next week. I'm going out of town this weekend. Thanks again for starting this fun. I love hearing about others grails and of course seeing the pictures, too!!!! XO

Yes do come and be my twin! Keep looking, it took me a while but I found it in the end. Please excuse me from mod shots as I have never put this scarf on. The folds are crisp and sharp and I would like to maintain that. I know it might be a waste but I promise this is the only 90 I keep this way.

It was hard to find a mod-shot: I cherish it so much I almost do not dare wearing it. I seriously consider getting a "backup" in the same CW. Crazy???

Oh yes!!! This one is fabulous!!!! Pocketbook Pup is your twin on this one. So so lovely.

I refuse to fear wearing them. After I splattered balsamic vinaigrette on (only the white portions naturally) of my Jeu d'Omnibus et Dames Blanche and it came right out good as new with Dawn of all things, I relaxed. They're no good to me in the box. Not that I don't understand! I do!

HL, your and PP's triplet here. I haven't worn mine much (or the blackish/whitish I also bought). They are among my very faves

Your CLF is stunning also! If I can't get the nuit/prune combo yours would be my next choice. At this point I will take just about any c/w I can find for a reasonable price [except the dipdyes as I think it ruins this pattern...you can barely see the details].

Hello dear scarfies, I gave you miss information about my C'est. I am going to blame it on the Chartrues/prune Turnadot. Seeing pictures of it made me heady...and I forgot which C'est I bought

Mine is KAKI /PRUN/NOISETTE.Sorry for the confusion. But, I would love to add the nuit/Gris/prune someday

Such a great story and a lovely scarf. Never let it go. De la Mer au Ciel is only a few seasons old...keep trying as there must be one out there somewhere!!

My grail is C'est la Fete. I have two colorways of it but if I could I would have them all!

In my eyes C'est is the perfect grail!!! And, I would also own them all if I could....

Thanks greengoddess! Well, I didn't really have that many true grails to begin with, only 4, so it wasn't too terribly hard. And not all that crazy expensive either, until the last one.

I'm SO glad you have that cw of C'est la Fete! I can't wait to see your picture! Boy, I have excellent taste if I can hang around you two.

I'm not sure what it means I was searching for both CW's so long. And, I almost owned the blue. But, then it fell through. I guess in my mind I'm still holding on to it. I don't wear it as much as I should... I'm challenging myself to wear all my scarves more often. I tend to wear the same ones over and over.

Another great CW for MP. I can't believe I passed on getting a MP. Thank goodness something is coming in the spring I can totally understand having a back up for a beloved item. I don't have any myself. But, I wouldn't put it past me. I know of quite a few women with back up bags. So, a little scarf is nothing, right

Thank you I LOVE my C'est. Though, I would have been happy with either I truly would love to have all the none dip dye ones. I love dip dye. But, agree that with this design you lose too much of the design. I WISH H would re issue this again!!!! A larger format would be so amazing.....H do you hear me...

Reading about everyone's grails achieved and in the future, I'm wondering why we don't buy anything except grails ….over retail or not .
It would still be cheaper than stashing all those silks we like but don't adore.
I'm more and more attracted to the idea of having a small and perfectly formed collection , say 5 CSGMs and 4 90cm and 4 70cm .
The problem lies with the fact I'm addicted to the buying high and tpf

My grails are La Femme aux Semelles du Vent CSGM , black and noisette.
Concours d'Etriers CSGM in acid yellow
and Turandot in red .
I paid over retail for the last two and never regret it .

Many scarves were grails until I laid my hands on them, when the allure somehow evaporated .

It's all a wonderful mystery …

I didn't mention the four grails that I have acquired. The first was red/pink L'Ivresse de L'Infini. That was the first time I saw a design and knew no matter what, it must be mine. Took a little while, but I got lucky and didn't pay over retail.

The second was anthracite Mythiques Phoenix, seen in person on thegriswolds and I fell hard. When I finally found it, I didn't hesitate and paid a bit over retail. Zero regrets and it's only higher when I see it now, which isn't often.

Third was Fleurs d'Indiennes, seen on Mai Tai and researched to death for the right cw for me; chocolate/rose/Violine. It took weeks to find then months of not wanting to pay over retail again, but I finally did it and it's so much lovelier in person that no regrets again! This design kept popping out at me in various mod shots here. No matter the tie or the cw, I always zeroed in like a laser. It simply had to be.

Lastly was Ex-Libris en Kimonos in Marine/Brique. This is the one that sent me over the deep end and straight to Ban Island for several months. Paid an obscene amount. Still some regret at the price, which is good because it's keeping me honest to the ban. The scarf is divine. Seeing it on MYH is what finally made me take the plunge.

I love all my scarves and wear them all or I wouldn't buy them. But these 4 are the special ones and the favorites.

I am going to snap a couple of quick photos of my CLFs as requested shortly, but I wanted to share this. While I was researching the various colorways of CLF I had a thought: what if they reissued this design in a CSGM? I would probably trip over myself running to the store to buy it in every color!

I've luckily managed to track down all of my original HG scarves. The ones that are particularly special to me are:

1) Ex Libris en Kimonos in cw01 - encre/framboise/jaune. I was in H one day lamenting the fact that all the scarves on my wishlist were from old collections. The SA asked me which ones I was looking for. ELeK was top of the list. Turns out they'd found one in their storeroom the day before. In the exact cw I wanted. Fastest purchase ever!

2) C'est la Fête - I have this in cw12 (gris/anthracite/gris foncé) and cw05 (bleu nuit/gris/prune). The grey was courtesy of a lovely Parisian gentleman who was selling via leboncoin. Turns out he's a tPF member too! The second ClF was from Poupishop who are a great source of HG items. Thought I'd completely missed the boat on these but managed to find two within a year.

3) Fleurs d'Indiennes in cw07 - (gris bleuté/orange/turquoise). This was complete luck. Just happened to decide to browse leboncoin one day and saw someone selling this not only in great condition but also at a fantastic price.

My current HGs are the Mythiques Phoenix pareos in both cw. I didn't buy these at the time as I was on a no-buy having just got a Double Sens. Wish I'd bought the pareos instead [emoji19]
