I am going to snap a couple of quick photos of my CLFs as requested shortly, but I wanted to share this. While I was researching the various colorways of CLF I had a thought: what if they reissued this design in a CSGM? I would probably trip over myself running to the store to buy it in every color!

I can't wait to see these bedhead!

I've luckily managed to track down all of my original HG scarves. The ones that are particularly special to me are:

1) Ex Libris en Kimonos in cw01 - encre/framboise/jaune. I was in H one day lamenting the fact that all the scarves on my wishlist were from old collections. The SA asked me which ones I was looking for. ELeK was top of the list. Turns out they'd found one in their storeroom the day before. In the exact cw I wanted. Fastest purchase ever!]

Well wow amber j! I'd say that was meant to be!

Hi guys! Just found this thread with the help of dear Pirula. Waiting for one of my grails to arrive on the FedEx truck now. I finally thought, what the heck, I'll just get my grails and get it over with, hoping my Hermes addiction would then let up. So I have gotten several over the last week. I'll post in a bit...

Such a great thread!
I have 2 grails:
Mythiques Phoenix, CW 10 almond green/vanilla/brown
This was my first scarf, it means so much to me as I got it when I quit my old job and started another, I felt like a Phoenix myself. And I just LOVE the pattern and colors. If I had to give away all my hermes but one I would keep that.
The grail I am still hunting is De la mer au ciel CW 8 blue/green/mauve. I like the pattern so much I got it in a different CW, but it just is not the same. The blue one is so watery *swoon*
I asked for it at 6 different boutiques, check ebay every day, all in vain...

Paging Honeylocks! Is this your grail????

She was at IKEA, the movies and painting a new stand for my massively growing indoor jungle.

Now hyperventilating, because "Item does not ship internationally"
Just contacted the seller, waiting for a reply.
It hurts, paying custos and import taxes into EU for a French item shipped from the US...

Oh crap. I'm so sorry honeylocks, I didn't realize you're outside US.

I lied to myself when I said I had no more grails in view.
And I 've seen the first grail I ever craved and never got, because of rarity and price, right there on Evil B for a eye watering $600 .
Why am I even thinking about it ? Or shall I heed my own advice , gobble it up and turn a blind eye to the pretty things in current collection ?

What is it? May we see?

Gosh if you've loved/wanted it that much for so long.....

I just saw one I adore. Not a grail, but an "eventual" from Year of India and for a great price. But not now. It's hard I know!

Oh Pirula so good to be understood!
My grail is the copper colouration of Toits de Paris' since I saw it on a scarf blog in the dim and distant Early Collecting Years .
The design does not tie well IMHO as the cute details of cat and girl at her window ,as ever in earlier designs, disappear in the tying .The all important corners are boring [ relatively speaking] and wide borders are never my fave.
.
But ……look at those shutters and chimney pots ! All is forgiven

Plus, borders do not turn me on much either .

Oh that is beauuuutiful. No wonder. And this cw would be lovely with your coloring I believe?

Hmmm, well. For me, the "not tying well" detail would be a deal breaker. Especially at this price. You want to be able to enjoy it. Not loving the border, equally problematic. You're a hell of a knotter though. If you can be happy only wearing it in configurations that show off the center and hide the border and fussing to see the detail you love, then....

I just talked you out of it, didn't I?

PS: the purple shutters slay me.

Frou Frou - this is a coincidence because I have always wanted this scarf too but in the deep bordeaux cw. But I have always held back because of the wide border too! It is so cute to look at but I think would not tie very well. So I am on the fence (or on the roof) when it comes to this one. And the prices are never friendly for this design.
