Your First LV bag Story

I remember my love for LV was ignited when I saw my mom carry a LV document case; I was around 10 years young at the time. The next vivid memory I have is my 13 year old self browsing the LV online store on my high school's computers, haha! My first true LV love was the LE Watercolor collection. My mom got me a bandeaux from the LE watercolor collection for my birthday! I was so excited. Then, for my 16th birthday, my mom took me to our local LV store and I couldn't believe it but she actually got me a Slightly Denim bag  That was my very first LV bag. I remember not wanting to carry it to school because I didn't want to look like a spoilt brat. I think I only brought it to school once but it also failed to fit any of my text books haha - so I admired it at home and on the weekends :)
I'm actually getting so touched and emotional writing about this because LV just symbolizes nostalgia, a great childhood and a specific family bond to me.

The very first LV bag I bought with my own money was the Rivington GM. Before that I had bought myself a damier pochette, but I'll count that as more of an SLG. I remember thinking "wow I'm actually spending over 1000€ on a bag!" and celebrated my first personal purchase with a caramel frappuccino at starbucks haha! I think I was 17 ot 18 at the time but I'm not sure. Oh how time flies xx

I've had her for two weeks now, and I agree!
I found a preloved mono 30 in great shape and with a beautiful honey patina. She was made in France the same year as my 11 year old son...

Here are some pictures, I haven't had a chance to take any myself yet. I can't believe this is an 11 year old bag, and I can't believe I waited this long.
see, that looks so amazing for 11!!

My first LV was the DE Delightful PM. Initially, I wanted the Artsy but at the time it was getting a lot of negative reviews so I went with the Delightful as a " runner up". I like the bag but I don't love it so now I'm looking to purchase the Artsy next month.

I've been in love with LV classic monogram since high school (mid 80's). Bought a "look-a-like" that didn't last very long. My sister bought the Cabas Piano in the mid-90's, and I have wanted that bag ever since. Once I finally started earning enough (lol), I bought the Popincourt Haute. Since then, I have bought, and sold, the Popincourt, a Sully, Neverful PM, and Pochette mini. I finally found a pre-loved Cabas Mezzo (with inner zip pocket) and I'm SO happy. Age doesn't matter - if you like it, go for it. It'll be worth it. Thanks for sharing!

I got my DE neverfull as motivation to pass the CPA exam [emoji851][emoji851] it was meant to be a reward for passing all the sections but there was a price increase coming so I bought it while I was studying instead. It was my first time spending over $1k on a bag and I don't think I'll ever part with it. Now I also have a speedy, pochette and wallet and a few more on my wish list [emoji7]

My story starts with the influence of my older sister and my best friend who both enjoy luxury goods. When I first started working, I didn't particularly like monogram brands and didn't understand them. But I wanted to treat my sister on her birthday and marched into an LV store and bought the monogram cles for her.
The next year, I did the same for my best friend in DE. So I had two purchase in my history but none for myself.
Fast forward a few years later, I saw someone carrying a noe and I knew if I ever bought an LV, that'd be first. And one day I accompanied a friend to an LV store to give my opinions and I casually asked if I could try on the petit noe. The SA brought out both petit and noe BB. I fell in love immediately and walked out with the BB that day.

This was last year and here am I lusting for more LVs!

I've always purchased preloved before the rose ballerine interior for Neverfull came out in 2016. Since it was new at the time, I couldn't find a lot of preloved ones, so I went to the Vegas stores and finally found one at the second store I went to. It's the rose ballerine interior, Damier Azur Neverfull MM. I'll never forget that moment, when I bought my first new LV to celebrate getting an internship. Well, I never stopped after that. Just placed two orders today for the Chapman Brothers Multiple Waller and Brazza Wallet. I still can't explain why I need so many wallets...

I'm actually going to take the CPA soon! Never thought of getting myself a bag as reward, but hey, thanks for the inspiration! I'm sure you'll pass all 4 sections and carry your new bag with pride! :D

I was having an awful month... and just thought.. why not?
Took myself (and my boyfriend) to the boutique and impulse bought a monogram favorite and a monogram key cles.
My first trip was lovely, the SA there was great
I love it so much when the SAs are nice. Sometimes, depending on luck, there can be pretty cold SAs, and I can't stop thinking: well why would I use my money to buy your cold attitude? Great to hear about your positive experience!

My first LV was a Speedy 30 in DE. Growing up we never really had that much money, for me spending money on a bag that cost more that 50 dollars was expensive. However, I have been working part-time a lot and wanted to reward myself with something nice. I had a classmate who had a LV Speedy in mono, and I was so intrigued by it and asked her how the bag was. She described it as a Mary Poppins bag, and I was sold. It took me almost a year though before deciding to buy it. I bought it at the Champs Elysses store in 2011 at the age of 20, and had it hot stamped with my initials. There was actually supposed to be three days waiting time before getting the bag back from hot-stamping, but since we were to leave the day after I got my bag, they kinda priotized it. My first LV bag is a bag that I could never sell.

Wow... This a trip down memory road[emoji4]
My mom enrolled me into LA's bussing program starting, in middle school through high school. I attended school in the Woodland Hills/Calabasas area (this was way before the Kardashian's [emoji20].)
Needless to say I was overwhelmed, seeing my rich valley girls friends carrying Gucci bags at the age of 14, however, I didn't see LV, for at this time, was considered as handbag that older Jewish women carried. My Great Granny gave me my first Gucci bag when I was 16 and I was in heaven!
Now, fast forward to the movie Private Benjamin with Goldie Hawn. She was a rich Jewish girl who husband died on their wedding night and decided to join the Army. There she is, in boot camp carrying a stunning Speedy 25 and I was hooked!
1 year later, I purchased me a Speedy 35, with a matching strap. That was the beginning of my 30 year obsession with Mr. Louis! [emoji173]️
