Who let this woman into Hermés?!

Can't say I have any feelings about Coleen but to believe she shouldn't be allowed to buy a certain brand because of the way she is perceived to be, which may or may not be true, is utterly dispicable

just as a fair warning, once your in university you can no longer use wikipedia..it's not a reliable source. ( anyone can write anything/edit information on there ). plus your professors/teachers will know! don't your teachers make you turn in assignments to a site called, turnitin.com ? I mean while I was 10th grade all my teachers required that you turn all essays through that site..it helps teachers find out where you've received your info.

Hum...I was allowed to use Wikipedia in many classes in college. As long as I sourced it in my Bibliography it didn't seem to be a problem. I got mostly A's and was never reprimanded for using it. Maybe it was because I always used and listed several other sources?

What a snobbish post! What is this - nouveau riche deciding who should carry a particular brand? This was tasteless and undeserved. I think the only person that would post something like this as acceptable would be someone who felt that carrying a certain bag somehow elevates her to a certain status, which she then feels would be cheapened by someone purportedly "beneath" her carrying a similar branded bag. I find this very sad. A handbag is a handbag. It will not give you class, nor take it away. Unfortunately, this post said more about the poster than the "chav" person who she feels doesn't deserve to carry an Hermes bag.

Yup, we use turnitin.com for EVERYTHING. I've never had a problem with it, as I don't copy-paste things directly from the site for my papers. It's merely for research purposes, just as Google or an online encyclopedia would be. I realize that it may not be the most reliable source but I still use it.

she seems a nice girl overall, she does quite a bit of charity work and the like. She also has a tv show called Coleen's Real Women promoting normal sized women in fashion.

Exactly. :yes:

Is this thread a joke? :laugh:

For goodness sake, leave the 'poor' girl alone. She has as much right to carry the bag she (or her partner) paid cold hard cash for, as the rest of us do.

It's horridly common women like this who will try and destroy the good Hermés name!

ROFL! :roflmfao::roflmfao::roflmfao:

Honestly, what a hideously snobby attitude! :wtf:

I think you so right, and I think calling you a snob alone just for this thread is unfair. Considering there are probably thousands and hundreds of people who think the same way.

Thanks for the post but, eh, I didn't start this thread and would hope that I'm not considered a snob (which I don't see myself as, and I generally try to avoid those who are). Personally, I couldn't care less where Colleen McLoughlin shops, and if she manages to nab a Birkin, then good for her. I certainly can't afford one at the mo, so am in no position to comment on those who can. However, I do dislike some of the other wags, I don't think they make very effective role models, which they are to many young girls.
I think closing this thread would be a good idea, if only to keep the peace!:heart:
