Can we agree to love the bag and ignore its holder? There are numerous times when Paris Hilton (who I personally can't stand) has carried something cute. An awesome bag is an awesome bag.

We can talk about who we dislike and why in a different thread.;)

Sorry - I just get my feathers in a ruffle when I hear skinny people being referred to as abnormal etc. I was a skinny minny for years (I've had 2 kids since then) and it drove me nuts how people would put me down without ever thinking (like asking if I had an eating disorder - whereas you'd never ask an overweight person that - that would be rude.)
So I was just pointing it out that I found it offensive - get what I mean? ;)

Thanks for the wikipedia thing - man, that site has everything.

Oh and I think the American version of a stereotypical WAG would be Ice-T's wife 'Coco' - ewww.
I understand, and I've gone through similar things. I'm naturally very petite both in width and height, my parents are both pretty petite people too. But my grandparents, aunts and uncles, and now even friends make it a point to ask me if I'm "okay" everytime they see me and ask if I've lost weight. At first I took it to be a compliment.. now, not so much at all.

And yes, Wikipedia is where I turn to for almost anything... hope my schoolteachers don't know. :p

just as a fair warning, once your in university you can no longer use wikipedia..it's not a reliable source. ( anyone can write anything/edit information on there ). plus your professors/teachers will know! don't your teachers make you turn in assignments to a site called, turnitin.com ? I mean while I was 10th grade all my teachers required that you turn all essays through that site..it helps teachers find out where you've received your info.

Yes!!! That would be a very good idea. Who are we to judge other people and this forum is a cut above most where all you see is name-calling for having different views.

I think Coleen looks great with her Birkin. I think she is pretty and has a great body.
Who really cares if she is wearing it with jeans????? Never knew that it was such a crime.
Oh, and there are worse things than being a so called Chav or WAG, ie being a total ignoramus.

How is being a WAG and gaining your toys/celebrity due to your husband's fame and money different from any other woman with a rich husband, aside from the fact that they don't get their pictures in the paper? Are you saying that the only women who deserve nice things are career women? When we see the postings of some of the fabulous bag collections here I don't see many people asking how they managed to come up with the money for those bags. It would be interesting to know how the OP gets the money to afford a Hermes but that would be pretty rude, don't you think?

actually, WAGs create the same reaction as does Paris Hilton in the US.

I think Colleen looks really nice here, she has changed quite a lot. her dress sense used to be entirely differently. as far as the job goes - at the time when I left Uk she didn't have one, but maybe she is doing some media related stuff now? don't know for sure. anyway, she looks cute in these pics, good for her.

I think perhaps there are some crossed cultural wires here. I don't really know any American counterpart to these girls, but in the UK, they are generally either adored or denigrated. Unfortunately, the issue of class tends to come into it, as it tends to do in a lot of issues in Europe. Perhaps it's better to leave it at that.

BTW, I have no problem with Colleen McLoughlin shopping at Hermes, but some of the other WAGS are not really to my taste. However, if they choose to shop there also, then that's none of my business.

I think you so right, and I think calling you a snob alone just for this thread is unfair. Considering there are probably thousands and hundreds of people who think the same way.

Here in America, we dont care where your blood lines run. If you have the money then your good with the upper class (maybe the old money snobs might not care too much for you)

I automatically thought of the whole Burberry fiasco on reading this post, and not offended in the least. Thats just how some people are.

For some, buying a Hermes bag and being known as a classless gold digger might be offensive to some and not to others. its all about cultures and I think good or bad, people from overseas should at least respect that!!
