That really made my day! This Coleen girl looks like my friend....I think she is cute.

The Corolla is a cute car...LOL
I'd rather have a nice bag than an expensive car note any day.

God Bless You! :flowers:[/quote]

Thanks Roe!

I do like my Corolla because I have never had a problem with it. I totally agree on the car note, or lack thereof - yeah!!

One that doesn't look sickly skinny... :nogood::yucky: To me, normal is healthy, no matter what size you are... skin and bones is definitely not healthy, or at least it has been turned into something that a lot of young girls starve themselves to become.

so someone who is morbidly obese is also considered normal? any thing but skinny right?:yucky:

I guess the keyword there is "morbidly", right? Since morbidly =/= healthy?

I'm not exactly sure why you are being so prickly but the point is the average American woman is a size 14. I've never seen a size 14 woman in any of my fashion/shopping/gossip magazines or any advertisement for that matter. Just who are those models representing? Cuz it sure isn't the average American woman.

And just because a person is a larger size doesn't mean they are not healthy. Case in point: my DDs' ballet instructor is a large woman. But she has been a dancer all her life -- in NY, LA, and now owns her own studio that is the largest, most respected in our area. You cannot tell me she isn't fit or healthy. At the final curtain call for every dance recital, she joins the Junior company in a kick line. And she's still got it, even at 50-something years old. Fit comes in all shapes and sizes.

Sorry for hijacking but I just had to respond to that post.

Rumor has it---VB put in a good word for her and she got her birkin faster.
I don't have a source and I don't have time to link one. Can't someone have something nice in a while? Give the girl a break...

Saying that models are 'sickly skinny' is just as offensive as being grossed out by someone fat. Some girls can't help if they are tiny.

Back to thread - I don't know this gal but what exactly this 'chav' (Canadian here - don't know all the UK terms ;))

I seriously did not mean to offend anyone at all, and I'm sorry if I have. I know that some girls are naturally petite, all the more power to them. But the reality is that there are millions of girls out there who DO starve themselves, who are sick with eating disorders, that do that either because the industry expects them too or because they think that beauty only comes in one size: teeny.

I'm 16 years old and while I don't starve myself to try to fit someone else's standards, I definitely think some days the media does affect how I feel about myself.

Sorry to be so off-topic since this is about Colleen and her Hermes bag, but I just had to add my view.

BTW: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chav <-- meaning of 'chav'. Pretty much a derogatory term.
