just another reminder that we do not allow this at all. Do not use tPF as a platform to gain strength against a company.
We've had this problem in this Forum several times, it's NOT allowed.

Obviously I'm not talking about people doing it independently, I'm talking about people doing it as a group and using the term the Purse Forum in it.
We don't allow people using us as leverage, that's all.

Your comment of "we should write one big letter of complaint . . ." implies something different than you alone ;)

^^^ I agree in that TPF name should not be used for a complaint but individual letters instead. (Also there is the option of 1 letter with signatures or something but again, no referencing websites).

This is a customer by customer complaint. correct?

aaaw sorry Swanky :sweatdrop: what i actually thought of in the beginning was a group complaint, but i didnt want to use Purse Forum in it ( i actually edited my original post and deleted that suggestion:yes:) , just one letter with signatures of individuals who know each other and a pile of pictures with "proofs of crime" ...but its still using PF as platform...but as long as we all get a grip and kick their smart designer bottoms with individual complaints, that should have an effect as well! :cursing:

well, i'm not a racist when saying i dont want to pay that much for a bag made by chinese, but really upset about "made in china" instead; or made by anytype of illegal workers.
why why would they do that?

I don't think any of us are racist and it's not that we care who makes them. The point is they say made in Italy which has long been know for craftmanship and skill in making beautiful leather goods. If they are now using unskilled laborers to mass produce, obviously the quality drops dramatically. Also if they are actually made in China, they are lying to us and taking advantage of us by having the bags made in factories with deplorable working conditions that I personally, do not approve of.

Well, a quick fix would be for everyone to start purchasing the bags solely from retailers based in the EU where consumers are protected by law in events like these.

If a product shows an original flaw within TWO YEARS from the date of purchase the consumer is entitled to have the product repaired at the retailers expense within a 'reasonable' timeframe. If the product can't be repaired you will be entitled to choose between replacement with an identical product or a full refund.

I’m sure that if the european retailers start getting a large number of QC complaints, Balenciaga would start paying attention…!

Just a thought.

i totally agree. when you plonk 1-2k on a bag, it shouldn't be a mass produced bag! it's all about misrepresentation of the actual product..

These threads usually get nasty and then end up being closed. Please don't make the mods do this.

I understand that bbag fans are huge enthusiasts and no brand has a stronger bond with their carriers than Balenciaga - but let's stay calm about the issue at hand, which is poor quality control. We can have an intelligent and civilized discussion about this without pulling out the soapboxes.

yep.. my vert gazon had a part at the handle with undyed leather! n the thread came off after 1 month of use. i am so pissed. but i can't return it so i'll just enjoy it now. but i understand teh quality is getting worse

No one is being nasty. Merely appropriately indignated, I believe.

That's exactly what I noticed when I took all of my bags out for new group photos. I am telling you out of 27 bags I have purchased in the past year, 18 were from 05, 2 from 04, 1 from 06, and 6 from 07. When it was just the older bags in my life I was over the moon every time a bag arrived. I would still get that thought "wow, I so get why everybody loves these bags"! Then I started buying new bags, and there was always at least one thing wrong with the bag, strap, mirror, or tassels! And that is crazy you mentioning the black spots PP!!! I had thought that was something I had gotten on at least 3 of the new bags!!! I had no clue what I was doing or where they were coming from!!! And ITA!! We all have to email, mail, call, and get a petition to send to Balenciaga ASAP!!! Oh, and besides the the extra tassels being way too light to use on my new Violet Make Up, one of the tassels on the bag is super super puffy and will not be lasting long!!!
:cursing:

actually, I have just noticed 2 small black dots on my 2007 jaune work bag.....looks like a ink dot.....
this is a very interesting read.....
thanks gals!!!!
