*Irisj* congrats on the blog

*Euridice* what a glorious pairing with Lalbhai and ExLenK

*Pierina* your Lalbhai collection is truly stunning

*Bienchen* Sous le Cedre is beautiful on you

*textilegirl* congrats on the GM

*lanit * your Tsubas has such gorgeous details

My little expedition to Madison Avenue was successful :graucho::graucho: Despite my intention to buy something black and white and not purple, I am introducing Point d'Orgue in aubergine/rose/prune. It does look a thousand times better on me than black and white, and does go with reds and blacks, which was my objective. So mission accomplished, I think!
Sophieg - Love your scarf style. You look great.

The Scarf Moodist showed us her yellow JAMC in this link which I believe froufrou adapted for her navy one: I've not been able to locate frou's post but perhaps she will be able to re-post the photo she took of her knotting.

Due to its bolduc border, this scarf is a brilliant contender for the waterfall knot for which you'll find instructions on MaiTai's Picture Book http://www.maitaispicturebook.com/2011/02/waterfall-knot-how-to.html

Here's my cack-handed rendition of the same with an archive pic of my navy JAMC...

Frou Frou, PussyWillow - THANK YOU!
That was what I was looking for!

PussyWillow, I must do the waterfall knot with my Carre, just like yours. Gorgeous!

I layered CW02 of Ex Libris en Kimono with Lalbhai summer twill in the prune with orange border.

We seem to have had a double your pleasure week inadvertently! What a wondrous pairing, Euridice: good to see How To pics as some of us might be adverse to knotting different sized scarves together (me) but it's not a problem here at all - in fact, the unmatchedness adds to the overall effect

Today test driving my new Reve de Gloria scarf. I like this neutral look with the injection of color from the Rouge H Garden Party.

Chic, Chic! We have come to expect no less (I have to remind myself you do actually have 'slob' days such as the one when you were 'propositioned' following a visit to the gym!) and great to see a completely different scarf for your collection on show.

My Rêve d'Australie arrived and surprise, vivid shades of grey (charcoal and slate), ochre, red, asparagus green - but it's bright, not mousey.

Really, really lovely. I adore these colours and am so pleased that your purchase turned out even better than anticipated: congratulations! I shall forthwith keep my eye out for this exact same one to honour my Ozzie husband.

The quickest of fly by's: Sous le Cedre which depicts a mediterranean scene or possibly, either way, a fair way from here.

A signature phrase of yours which I'm now using to describe my dusting skills (not)!

I applaud when the special becomes usuable - beauty, in my book, deserves to be seen and appreciated rather than being hidden away. Life's too short, and unpredictable, for saving the best 'til last.

A big ole turkey, even a bunch of snails have an entire scarf dedicated to them, yet cattle seem absent on silk.

As I sat with my cows today, ruminating about how unfair the world is, I snapped some pictures and hope it is okay that I share my thoughts about the the lack of cow fodder on H silks.

Oooh, thank you for the safari shots! I approve your proposals on the livestock acquisition plans - I wouldn't have a clue about how to tend for such amazing (but big) beasts.

I've probably killed more than my fair share of goldfish by underfeeding but fortunately my dogs make it plain when it's meal time - they sit patiently in the kitchen whilst we have dinner and then leap into action when the table is cleared, wagging their tails next to the dishwasher (why would you feed a machine rather than adorable us?) and thus I can't fail to remember their dietary needs.

cloudy day in Versailles castle park... and Feux du ciel/Caleche elastique combo..

Your wonderful leather jacket distracted me from the weather completely! Thank you again for another inspired combination - and thus encouraging us to experiment too

The only way I can tie this into scaves is "Plaza del Toros" which I love as a design but cannot buy as I object to bullfighting: (photo from HSCI)

I'm with you on the animal liberation front, I confess, but what an interesting scarf in terms of colour, corners and cultural reference. The shells echo this season's Coquilles recolouration to a degree: which reminds me I haven't seen this except fleetingly on H.com.

When I spied this one at my boutique resistance was futile, my supposed Ban notwithstanding (ha, take that you stupid ban!).

I gather these are a bit difficult to find, but if any of you are teetering on the GM CS slope, this design from the men's collection is a brilliant neutral -- goes with e-v-er-y-thing!

A novel and spirited reproach to the Ban here, textilegirl!

I didn't even realize there was a separate men's collection until I read arabesque's post about her L'Imprimier Fou (inspired by ScarfMoodist inspired by Vanmiracle) as all the great guys on here seem to wear what we're wearing (but better). I must say the colours and designs fit better into my own cultural appreciation (the only girl in my generation, I don't think I knew what a skirt was until I went to secondary school) and the resultant style I feel comfortable with - I think I could feel very comfortable in this CeT!!

Unfortunately I have few if any silks with scary elements. But to honor of that wonderful creature from Asia that brings H such lovely horns for us to appreciate, new BD Dalva horn pendant with (scary) ravens from Tsubas (around the world-Japan). Oh, and lastly this post also is a nod and hug to arabesques for enabling me on horns and this lovely pendant as well as her penchance for two color silks nowadays! :amuse::giggles:

I loved your BdM mousseline and now, this!!!!

Lanit, your choices always tick all my boxes - and your evident enjoyment of everything you select to wear and share brings us greater pleasure. The Dalva is a real classic: and you'll get ROI in spades.

A last bit of India, the Lalbhai pattern by Michael Duchene which celebrates the Museum of Indology - a priceless repository of manuscripts, books and other reference material covering many aspects of Indian religion, philosphy and language.

Here in four different materials: light blue cotton at the top, green and lavender lightweight silk, blue-gray mousseline and my first cashmere GM in dark blues.

Pierina - thank you, as ever, this time for this educational insight.

The only problem with your posts is that they invariably add something else to the Wish List......the blue grey Lalbhai mousseline on this occasion.

One day, appearance will coincide with solvency and availability........ :search: there doesn't seem to be an emoticon for 'and cows might fly', maybe sparklelisab can fashion one ;)

How thrilling to see this scarf in action so often nowadays. My favorite design of the season--and you wear it magnificently, Pussywillow.

Hello Silkies, I wanted to accent my pink nails and toes and tied Early America and Aux Pays des Espices together. This is my first attempt at doubling like Euridice did days ago. I am tall so the long Espices trailing down was appealing to me. Who knows. Maybe I will look at pics next week and wonder what I was thinking. For today, pink and giddy. I can't even tell you how excited I am about this new idea since I will get to double the wear of my silks. Since my collection is still limited with designs/colors--don't have 30 blue beauties like Pierina does, I am now going to buy a few new scarves based not just on swoon-factor, but on ability to double with an already owned lovely. Thanks for letting me share!

Yes Mr. Hubris. :giggles: I wanted to mention your name in my post but feared I might spell your name wrong and avoided the chastising.... :hugs:You really are fabulous with your doubles Mickaeldytyn!!

This makes me feel nostalgic. I had Ombrelle Magique in this purple colourway . I do wear purple, and orange, aqua and lime are all good for me and the design seemed perfect.Corners. Action. Assymetry. Yummy contrast border.
But ....the whole package was a no-no , and so with regret I passed it on.
Still can't figure out why !

Thanks so much! It is super-cool, isn't it? I think I did read that it was the same artist as Ombrelle Magique, the one benefitting Haiti. The Orgue has these two small round vignettes that remind me of the round scenes in the Ombrelle.

I had thought that it might be the same artist that did the Monsieur Parfum, which has that sort of ebullient feeling to it....I need to go back and research that!

at any rate, thanks very much!

Euridice, I'm honored to be "cousins" with you on Point d'Orgue. I love knowing more about who designed my scarves but nothing really turned up on Pierre Marie. I remembered this exchange between you and Frou Frou and was curious to hear if you knew anything more :smile1:

Congratulations, SophieG--that aubergine color is fantastic on you. It even looks a touch warmer, like burgundy, when worn with this type (maybe it's the prune and rose?). This scarf is surely going to be a much-used resource in your closet. Clapping!
Well, thank you. Coming from you, that's a true endorsement for the versatility of this scarf, and I agree it does look like a very dark burgundy when paired with reds

You appear extremely Cheshire Cat pleased with your choice!

This is really beautiful with your colouring: Point d'Orgue in the one colour I wish I could wear. It is much warmer toned in real life, I discovered, and thus really sets off your chestnut hair to a tee (I need more a blue-based purple, sadly). Enjoy!
:smile1: I think my grin just got wider. Thanks, pussywillow!

Sophieg - Love your scarf style. You look great.
Well thank you, nerckerchief0. And now I'm grinning AND blushing!

I think I just fell off my chair... That is one fantastic pairing, sparkliesab! You have a wonderful eye for color (and cattle, apparently although being a true city girl I'm really no expert)

You nailed it :push: I often wear my scarves double too, it's instant glamour

I am not sure what the theme is this week :shame: and I'm sure this won't quite fit but I am very happy to be back :yahoo:

I have shown these already on the S/S scarves thread, Lanit suggested I show it here too  I'm pleased I found something from this season and sooooooooooo happy with this scarf :yahoo:
