And a few more...
A Cheval Sur mon Carre (this c/w inspired by Robee's photo) and it is indeed lovely and very refreshing.
Cheval H 70 cm from last year (two seasons ago).
Fleurs d'Indiennes in the GM washed silk jean bleu/prune/vert - very soft and sumptious and amazing colors. I received this the same day Lanit posted hers here and she and I are birthday buddies (same astrological sign) :p

Euridice - what a great story. I loved reading it and congratulations on both this stunning scarf and your bag (I cannot wait to see which one you chose. Is it your first?)

I always have the hardest time posting pictures. DH came to my help. So finally a few snaps from the past weeks, some oldies, some newer ones. :smile1:

Fleurs d'Indiennes - one of my very favorite scarves in a color I probably wouldn't have picked if I hadn't tried it first. Furthermore, I bought this at the Festival de Metiers after seeing this design printed right there albeit in different colors so I have fond associations with this scarf.
Jungle Love in yellow which is a great color for this pattern.
Cheval Marwari in orange - orange is difficult for me to wear as you can see by the strange color of my chin.:D

Maedi, your FdI is beautiful. I love the colors in it--and how it bridges your skintone and the top you are wearing. Just divine--and that it has a story behind it makes it even more precious.

What do you do when you don't have a scarf to go with your top? You wear one anyway!! I have my brand new Axis Mundi in CW 11 noir/noir. I can't get over how stunningly gorgeous I find this scarf.

I have a bit of a story behind this, and a question for y'all. I made a spontaneous trip to Hermes late Saturday afternoon (it's a 2 hour drive so I usually plan in advance!). I had received a scarf that was shipped to me from another store and when I opened it Thursday I noticed a tiny snag with a run in it first thing. So, I decided to take it to the store to have them look at it then just deal with the return there instead of me having to ship it back someplace.

Well, I kept being spontaneous after I got to the store---I wasn't supposed to do that, geez! Lol! I think I purchased my first H bag ever, which certainly wasn't planned (I might have dreamed this---if it arrives tomorrow I'll know it was real, since I had it shipped). After I had completely finished and was waiting for my SA to wrap up my scarves, I was looking at the scarf case and saw one I couldn't identify---looked like tree branches with stars on it.

My SA took it out and was surprised since she didn't know they had it. She asked if I wanted her to put it aside for me, and I said actually I'll buy it now!!

I don't know what I am more excited about, my first bag or this scarf!!!! Just goes to show, if being spontaneous feels right, drive to H and you might just get your own Axis Mundi!!!!!

OMG! Clapping! I'm sitting here completely agog. You found an Axis Mundi? Lucky, lucky, lucky woman.

Now . . . spill it! :p What bag??

Hello Silkies, I wanted to accent my pink nails and toes and tied Early America and Aux Pays des Espices together. This is my first attempt at doubling like Euridice did days ago. I am tall so the long Espices trailing down was appealing to me. Who knows. Maybe I will look at pics next week and wonder what I was thinking. For today, pink and giddy. I can't even tell you how excited I am about this new idea since I will get to double the wear of my silks. Since my collection is still limited with designs/colors--don't have 30 blue beauties like Pierina does, I am now going to buy a few new scarves based not just on swoon-factor, but on ability to double with an already owned lovely. Thanks for letting me share!

Incredible combination--and the wrapping of the scarves together looks wonderful. You make it seem effortless. And then I catch a glimpse of those bracelets! Gorgeous!

I am not sure what the theme is this week :shame: and I'm sure this won't quite fit but I am very happy to be back :yahoo:

I have shown these already on the S/S scarves thread, Lanit suggested I show it here too  I'm pleased I found something from this season and sooooooooooo happy with this scarf :yahoo:

Magnificent knots--and a gorgeous scarf. You look divine.

Maedi - Happy Belated Birthday - your FdI is gorgeous on you and all your silk parade is very lovely and to be appreciated! I hope you had a fabulous celebration my Piscean friend! Blue looks especially pretty on you!

Merci, arabesques. You know how much this compliment means to me coming from you - such a style trail blazer.

Thank you so much, lanit. Proud and thrilled to be your scarf cousin. Isn't it cosmic that we received/bought the same scarf in different colors for our birthdays?

Maedi, thanks so much! And, happy birthday!! Wow, all these scarf pics are a feast for the eyes!! We're twins on the FdI washed silk! yay!

Arabesques, thanks, I'm agog, too! I'll give you a hint: Lanit has the same bag!!!

Y'all, do you know what season this Axis Mundi is from, perchance? I don't know if I am overlooking something or making a typo in my search, or what, but I can't figure this out. It's obviously not from 1999, lol! but was it reissued in 2010? 2009?

You know, thinking about the ruminations on what we look for in scarves and when to let something go, I am thinking that every time I want to buy a new 90 twill, I will ask "but is it as fabulous as Axis Mundi?" I think that will really help me move from the initial heady collection-building mode to the totally overdue judicious additions phase!!

Spring is most definately here , scarves are blossoming

The last 24 hours have produced a flurry of THE most springlike colourful scarves .

SophieG Your new Pont d'Orgue in aubergine is the perfect choice for your pretty complexion . You literally glow with this by your face .Love the way it looks against grey.
Pierre Marie designed quite a bit of homeware, china for example. The info seems to have disappeared from the web, very strange.

Pussywillow Good to see you in JAMC and the waterfall knot certainly showcases that orange hem , and makes the 70 scarf loook like a 90 : very elegant .

Sparklelisab What colours, the eye doesn't want to leave that divine ochre EAbut then that crimson Epices draws one in....
Such a bold vibrant pairing, and you work it brilliantly .

Papertiger You chose an amazing scarf in perfect colours : the navy /brown traditional playing off the fun design.
You wear Clic clac a Pois with unerring Parisian style : you should be modelling for Hermes !

Euridice Good to see someone doing their bit for Hermes ! And what prizes returned with you .....the Axis Mundi is something else entirely from the way it appears in small photos . Colour, detail, goats :wow.Stunning on you.
It's going on the list for coveted design. Bienchen's Portes aux Palais too.
Christine Henry's designs are such microcosmic worlds , thankyou so much for sharing those details .

Now, about this bag : Picotin ?

Maedi Birthday wishes to you , and I hope you will have a marvellous year.
Your three glorious modelling pictures were the first thing I saw when I opened my PC.
Yes ! yes! yes! A feast for the eyes , all vibrant and joyful .
My heart went to Jungle Love as I seem to be falling in love with yellow at the moment .

Then I turned over another three , all mouthwatering too!
CSMC is my new favourite scarf , cousins on that . Your colourway is exquisite . I'm going to restrain myself from grabbing it right now . Just lovely .
And the fuschia Cheval H too , what a brilliant splash of colour .It must be a joy to wear.

I was curious to see what this cw looked like, very rich and stunning on you
Thank you, *papertiger* and I love your new Clic Clac a Pois, very chic in this CW!

sophieg, thank you! Congrats to you on your new Point d'Orgue! I love that prune cw; mission accomplished indeed!

Thank you, *textilegirl*:smile1:

sophig Your smile says it all. You look so happy! I am a big fan of b&W but it took about a year before could choose a b&W scarf over bright colors. The best colors will light up your face and produce the kind of smile in your pictures. You look BEAUTIFUL! And your knots are fantastic.

Thank you so much *fritillaryB* There are so many colors and designs to choose from, it's true that B&W is hard to pick first!

Sophiag - Your smile is absolutely infectious. I'm sitting here just grinning back at you. :D Gosh, what a fantastic accompaniment to your gray jacket and purple top... you look "plum" gorgeous!!

Well thank you *TangoTosca*. I learned from the best (*cough* your thread, which keeps making my wish list grow *cough*) how wonderful scarves make you look :p

Thanks so much!! And, you look gorgeous in your Point d'Orgue in aubergine!! This is an especially lovely colorway.

Well, I did google Pierre Marie and didn't find a whole lot. There was a website that had some pics of his art including Ombrelle magique: http://www.admanagement.com/#/ad/20/15/

but just now when I was googling to find this link again, I found that he did indeed design Mademoiselle Soie!! http://yyplady.piwigo.com/picture?/4763/category/100-pierre_marie

I was wondering about that, lol.
Thanks, *Euridice*, and thanks for the links!

sophieg - you look totally fantastic in your aubergine PdO - I agree with all the compliments - it really makes you glow and your SA did you an enormous favor in assisting in your selection!
Thank you *lanit*. The SA at the scarf counter (Klaus) was indeed very helpful in finding CW and designs that could work on me

Thank you, *froufrou* and thanks for the info on Pierre Marie :smile1:

Scarf Addict

pussywillow (I hope you saw my 'buried' message to you :shame: so happy to be your JAMC sister)

fritillaryB (cw05 is blk/brown and navy - all dark-neural bases but grey are covered :graucho:)

TangoTosca Good to 'see' you again too, is there room in your collection for one more 70 ;)

lanit I finished work early just to catch the last-light to take a couple of shots for you. I immediately thought of your TR (which I tried so hard to make work for me in black) and Hola Flamenca which I need - can we all please pray to the H-god to reissue HF as a GM silk :graucho:

Maedi and Happy (belated) Birthday. Fd'I is totally stunning in this cw, (I think most of the cw worked in this design) so pleased to be scarf sisters with you.

frou frou I think I shall read your comment to myself every morning, so flattering but I shall leave the house full of joie de vivre :p

sophieg chic is what I was aiming for

Euridice Your 'spontaneous' Axis Mundi is a WOW!

...and just because polka-dots, 3 neutrals, whips and a patchwork quilt aren't enough here are some added stripes ;).
Actually, I have to hand it to Houdini (my kitten) he models this scarf verrry well (but it's still my scarf Houdini :coolio:)

CCaPHoudini.jpg

PT - Houdini is waaay too cute - look at his tail- right in alignment with the whip handle. Wow - this is such an interesting patterned silk! Great one for you!

Michel - Etriers IS a very cool design on you!

Euridice - you have piqued everyones interest, including mine! Which bag - Pico, DS or Bolide?:graucho:

Trying to bring out the GM's for their share of use this week and the temps have dropped again along with rain. A fierce and slightly scary Tigre Royale on the CenC (yesterday) and today the strangely bridled up ponies of Paperoles. I think this is as scary as I could rustle up.
