Pierina,
I would kill to have this cw of fantasies Indiennes! Beautiful.

Yikes, you don't have to do that fritiallaryB! The90cm appears on ebay from time to time. I had it but always ended up using the gavroche. In the 90 size note that there are figures all around the border in addition to the 4 elephants on the gavroche.

Here's the gavroche, and the 90 cm below:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY lanit !!!!!

Best wishes to you for your birthday! Was you actual birthday yesterday? It was my dear sister's, which is why I ask. Love your presents too, and am so happy to be twins with you on the horn cuff. And your Fleurs is stunning - bet you wear this one a lot!

Really beautiful. Thanks for showing the flat photos.

Tehe, I knew that is was a Longhorn, though not the gender - it just amused me more to write 'cow'.

Probably just betting it would rile up one of us Texans! ;)

Sparklelisab, you know enough to say "cattle" instead of "cows" for the plural, so you're ahead of a lot of people! I could tell a funny anecdote about a cattle sale, but I am afraid it might offend some sensibilities here...let's just say it involved advertising the attributes of a particular bull...this phrase will live in my memory for much too long.

Oh, the Turkey Scarf. <sigh> I just can't get past that turkey. If it had a jackalope on it, I might have to buy it just on principle, but KO must not have been able to find one to model for him.

Thank you, every one, for the love on my new GP. Yes, it sounds like Houston's been a bit busy this year! We're lucky to have such great SAs there. I know I'm very lucky to have been introduced to the staff there last October at our such-fun get together.

TangoTosca, yes, I believe you! I laughed so hard when I got your email with that subject line, because I had used the phrase myself very recently in a similar situation! The "cross-pollination" here is downright dangerous!

Sorry, Lala, but that's no bull. :))

Hello!!
Love your scarf..and especially your orange bracelets!!!

Happy colors:smile1:

QUOTE=sparklelisab;21250070]Happy Happy Birthday beautiful Lanit! I would love to have a washed silk 140 and my birthday is right around the corner...hum.... stunning on you! I really have not seen one scarf that you do not wear brilliantly.

Iris: So happy to see my lithe scarfie and I adore this cw of Spice. I have never seen it and proud we are cousins. I have the fuchsia girl--the antithesis of your gorgy neutral.

Teha, what a beautiful choker scarf. Love it.

Pussywillow: I adore Coupons Indiens and it is one "my list" of must haves. The blitheful blue is beautiful-how's that for alliteration. Sorry... Fabulous my "hickville" friend. So funny.

Pierina: I cherish your response to Ladybaga about horses. I have not stopped admiring their beauty even though I don't ride. I love the smell of a horse and love spending time in hay-filled barns, with horses and such. My new love is for cows actually--- Started out with 17 Texas Longhorns about 6 months ago, and now I have 28! Is there a cow scarf?

Markova is responsible for my scarf for this week--Carpe Diem in a 1994 mousseline that I bought brand new from a reseller. OMG! When I saw Markova's, my heart fluttered crazily and I found my own. No one can beat Markova's pic and I know this is an old design and everyone knows about it, but she is new to me. I wore her for the first time --around the world! My sun, the literary eye of God that warms our world with beautiful rays of hope and spirit and illumination.[/QUOTE]

Oh, lisab, you don't know what you're missing! When you tie the scarf, the turkey disappears and you see the beautiful feathers and in this reissue, the gorgeous contrast hems!! :)

No cow in this scarf, but a very handsome longhorn bull instead! Lol!

Does anybody have this scarf in the anthracite/turquoise color way??
I would love to see it....love the colors but notbthat big ole turkey....but if it goes away once tied.....:smile1:

Pierina - thank you dear and my you look ultra amazing in Brazil and the FI. I adore this pochette version too. I am happy to be twins with you too - and with arabesques on another horn piece that I will share next week. Wait until you and sis see the Pisces gift I received...it is really something! Does DD ever want to grab the Brazil from you? I love your silk as headband - no wonder DD is a great model!

VnSoie - congrats on this very wonderful GP - it will be so handy on your upcoming trip and it looks terrific on you!

fritillary - what a sublime mousseline - another purple winner for you!

Thank you sophieg, fritillary, and jahna - I had a wondeful birthday celebration last night with DH and celebrating again tomorrow with BFF's and relatives this weekend.

There is nothing like the look of a super formal scarf with a jean jacket or a leather jacket. I wore my blue Ciels Byz. on Saturday with a jean jacket and white blouse and the contrast of the very formal scarf with a casual jacket looked amazing. I should have taken a picture.

I'd love to see that recreated when you have the time one day - your blue Ciels is a real favourite amongst your varied collection, I can imagine it would confer a whole extra dimension to denim!

Have to post this again for our Around the World theme week,

Le Monde est Vaste mousseline GM:

Then jumping aboard the Faubourg Express for India, with Beloved India cashmere GM and my favorite gavroche Fantaisies Indiennes.

Last stop, BRAZIL, the same Bleu Azur colorway in silk 90 and cashmere GM:

There's still a need for smelling salts in this day and age: when pierina posts pictures, you know you're best to pull up a seat as your breath will be taken away! Beautiful collages, thank you!

The scale of Fantaises Indiennes design is perfect on the gavroche - and then in that swoonworthy turquoise....:faint:

Other than the L'Arbre de Vie, I've not seen any of the pocket squares for this season. Are they in boutiques yet, I wonder
?

A quickie before a busy weekend kicks in - have a good one everyone.

I haven't got a Texan scarf but nevertheless am paying homage to the States with the very first H scarf I acquired: Jardins de la Nouvelle Angleterre.
This is far better not worn with black, taupe and grey are lovely with it, but I've resurrected the black cashmere wrap-up in deference to the brisk winds today.

Later I discovered a profile on Codex Costinianus at the beginning of the age of enlightment. Eighteen months ago, when I bought this it was just a pretty scarf. Now, better versed in H, I increasingly learn from you all every time I visit this forum. Above colour, the intricacy of the design enchants every time I take this from its box.

Pierina, I think you look stunning in anything, but especially blue. The color should be reserved for you!

Michel, I am enjoying your double scarf-tying; might try that tonight. (I have to think up a new outfit for a recurring event. Don't want to wear the same-old same-old...

pussywllow, thanks for the insights on "Jardins de la Nouvelle Angleterre". I like the knotting effect. Don't know this scarf...

Re: Theme of the Week. Somehwhere about 1000 posts ago, I saw a list; does anyone have it? ...or at least know what next week is? Hmmmm???
