I've been bitten by a Negonda!

VnSoie, I didn't think it was possible for you to make me laugh any harder than you've made me all week, but the hysterics this triggered made me laugh so hard my sides hurt :lolots::roflmfao::lolots::roflmfao:

Congratulations on your chocolate milk Garden Party!! You were part of the reason I got one as well - I hope you agree that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. We each bought colors that flatter us so well. Las amigas, la rubia y la morocha!

Fantastic match between your bangle and Eperon d'Or. You look so good in that outfit.

Can't wait for your full report of the damage "Hurricane VnSoie" inflicted on six stores in two weeks :p

posting this for sparkle before I even finish reading all the new posts - not only is there a cow on a scarf, it's Texas cow... :graucho:

How mooooooooooving! :p Thanks Pierina for reminding us of the longhorn on the "Texas Turkey" scarf.

Sparkleslisab - Given your love of longhorns, this scarf might be a new "must have!"

Jahna - the image of steer horns being delivered to your home in New York is quite a visual LOL!!!!

-carré en carrés (ok let's check : tiger in India, cheyenne for US, brides de gala so french, and horse races fo England)
- la réale, so we'll travel by boat....
So what do you think ???
ps: sorry for my english ..... I must admit it refrain me from posting....

I totally agree with your proposal for an around the world tour - what a fabulously relaxed way to wear this scarf.

Please do carry on posting: the more pictures the better! As sparklelisab said, you speak scarf and we all understand that here

There is always one that will turn the thinking around as to how unexpected colors CAN work for everyone, given the right combination!

Fleurs d"Indiennes Washed GM colorway 02, Corail/Bleu/Brun and Machette Horn and Sterling Silver Bracelet.

Oooh Lanit, these two are absolutely breathtaking - what a marvellous way to remember your birthday.

I take note of your lesson that it's worth the mental challenge to be open unexpected colour combinations for when I'm next in a boutique.

I'm intrigued, did you commence your scarf tastes with blues and add red or vice versa?

CSMC in the caban/loden CW. Love it! Still trying to channel Christine Legarde's pink and navy, I think.... :p

Looking at pics, I had wanted the aqua/sepia cw and loved it IRL, but it was the pics on tpf that led me to ask to see this caban/loden version, and it was all over once I saw it!!

I first was lured towards this by Valmont's postings and I still think it is my personal CSMC favourite - as well as those rich blues, I adore the loden - the whole effect is mallard-like in its sheen and depth.

Markova is responsible for my scarf for this week--Carpe Diem in a 1994 mousseline that I bought brand new from a reseller.

I feel ashamed of my webcam pics when you do us the honour of these detailed, informative photographic insights! The colour and texture of your jacket work as the perfect foil alongside the sunshiny, ethereal mass of mousseline (not quite on a par with your b b b alliterative comment to me - but I'm working on it).

I'm taking my cue from IrisJ and wearing a different cw of Aux Pays des Epices for a shades-of-brown-and-red look today

I'm realizing it probably took months of simmering the idea of your perfect bag - I wonder if your recently acquired Pays des Epices firmed up your selection of Rouge H?

I don't know all the different bags but I do react instinctively to colour and this is wonderful with everything you've paired it with. Loving the lippie in this shot!

Keys...the classic.

My kids are tickled by your shirt (whereas I only have eyes for Les Clefs) as it is just like Burglar Bill - a benevolent character from the children's author Allan Ahlberg. From one who can't wear horizontal stripes, here's to those who can carry them off with panache!

Here is my contribution to the "Around the World in 7 days" theme this week: Per Astra Ad Astra and Brazil

I saw this gorgeous little gavroche in Harrods H in early December. It had just been put out in the pocket square basket that day. Lacking the usual identity tag detailing the colours, the assistant said it was found somewhere and from several seasons ago. I've seen this on Mai Tai and the ScarfMoodist: their colouring suits this little gem so well. It felt it was a mark of my scarfing maturity that I did not purchase this even though I adore everything about it, I know my colouring can't do it justice. However, these colours are spot-on for you - beautiful!

The happy ending was that some nine weeks later, Bienchen must have spotted and purchased this exact same little gem in Harrods and it is delightful on her too.

Per Astra and Quai aux Fleurs look quite serious, grown up scarves on you - definitely silks to do business in! Tres chic.

Without further ado, may I introduce you to Miss Chocolate Milk Garden Party? Today's scarf is Eperon d'Or.

Part of what's kept me so busy is planning a trip to Amsterdam and Paris for early April--on very short notice, for DBF and myself. He said, "plan a trip to Amsterdam...." and the VERY first thing that came to mind, and eclipsed the next several minutes of whatever he might have said, was "Three Hs! Three Hs!" And then we added Paris...so SIX H boutiques in my path--eek. Pray for me, that's all I can say. I may have a stroke. (Is there no antivenin/antidote for the Orange Affliction? I've been bitten by a Negonda!)

I swear my screen is trembling - your anticipation of your European trip and the enjoyment of the etoupe Garden Party are tangible and contagious!!

Are rumours true that there seems to be a bit of GP run in Texas at the moment?!!

Last night doing my best "Betty Draper" impression while wearing Per Astra ad Astra. Waves to you, Fritillary!

Of all the scarves I have profiled, Per Astra was my favorite.

LOL...are we taking odds on whether Betty stages a "come back" in the new season? On whether Peggy figures out how to stylishly wear the Hermes that Duck gave her? Remember Joan's words in Episode 1 to Peggy "Wear scarves. Men like them".

Here you go loves:

Pierina :hugs:!

Thanks for another glimpse of one of my favourite vintage silks - so much better than chocolate and your picture confirming its place on my HG list!

Tango, you are quite the Dancing Queen - I'm feeling the beat of the tambourine, for sure. Per Astra couldn't be a better match for Betty herself.

Now, emboldened by micheldietlin and inspired by lanit and textilegirl's washed silk Fd'I, I present the Around the World DIY 140cm vintage silk - borrowing from Africa Le Boubou H and anchoring it with a return to Europe's Chaines et Gourmettes: 70cm + 70cm vintage carre almost, not, make a washed silk?!!!

OH NO!!! Is that the turkey scarf???? Oh Hell!!! I don't want a dang turkey around my neck; I want a cow! laughing. Pierina2--you wore this scarf beautifully and I remember, specifically thinking about this scarf! I love my cows and might have to reconsider the freaking turkey! Notice how quickly I fall into teenage prose Pussywillow!

Well, I was excited about sharing my new look--Eurydice talked about layering two scarves and today, my beige upper half ensemble was too starkly contrasting my dark navy pants. Even with my one scarf to pull the look all together, I felt I needed more and voila...wearing two, layered scarves. I am very happy with the look and had to share. Pic isn't the best, but you get the idea. Thank you for letting me share, and thanks Pierina2 for a new turkey fixation!

Oh, lisab, you don't know what you're missing! When you tie the scarf, the turkey disappears and you see the beautiful feathers and in this reissue, the gorgeous contrast hems!! :)

No cow in this scarf, but a very handsome longhorn bull instead! Lol!

Pussywillow :Thank you for you nice comment, I love the combo of Boubou and Chaines on you , the are very different and yet complement each other perfectly ....:smile1:

Yes, I think the same here, it was Valmont that introduced this CW to me as well! I love the loden, too, and agree that "mallard-like" is a great way to describe it.

Oh WOW! I am SO INSPIRED!!! I saw pussywillow's amazing blue layering concoction and was so excited, then I got to the twill+mousseline layering from sparklelisab and was just ecstatic! But then, scrolling on down, I was swooning by the time I saw micheldietlin's awesome layering!! All different approaches and all magnificent. this is what I want to be able to do!! :woot:

Well, at least today I am complying with the theme and hail from Armenia! I've got my Jardins d'Armenie on today. It's my very first mouselline stole, and I love it. The colors are a bit washed out by the bright sunlight but you should get the idea.
