Where to place bag when in restaurant?

i have a metallic bag handle, but rarely use it.

Purse hook all the way! When I don't have one on me, I'll put my bag on my chair behind me.

put it in my lap or leave it in the car...or just not take one at all.

I'm never without my pursehook. I think it is one of the best inventions ever! Ironically, I never see anyone else with one and it is the perfect solution to keeping your bag off dirty or sticky floors.

Ok I've got one for everybody!! Just came home for dinner at a restaurant and the bathroom had No purse hooks! What to do? I NEVER put my bag on the floor especially in a public place! Picture this if you can. Hung the bag on one hand, used the other all the while making sure the purse hand stays clean. Get to the sink and ironically placed my bag down on the sink area because it "looked" clean, washed hands and left.

If I'm in a booth then next to me. If I'm in a chair and there is no empty chair, It's on top of my feet.... sometimes I'm guilty of it being on the floor though.

If there's no extra chair, I just place it on my chair right behind me. It doesn't give me a lot of room to sit - usually just right on the edge of the seat but it beats placing it on the yucky floor.

I use a purse hook if possible. But, I have been known to use a linen napkin and put it on top of that on the floor.

I try to get a booth so I can keep my bag next to me (usually need to get something out of it during the meal anyway, like Purelle or my phone), or a table with an extra chair (if I'm with a group of women we all put our bags and coats on one chair).

If not then on my lap under the napkin if it's a small bag, or behind my back. Worst case, on top of my feet - originally I had never thought of the floor being dirty, I started putting my bag on my feet so I could feel the weight and know it was still there (hadn't been stolen, or pulled away by a toddler who wanted to play with it).

i need to invest in a purse hook. If im sitting in a booth, then next to me i usually have to dig through it for something anyway. if im sitting at a table i use an extra chair, if not on the top of my feet

For me, the floor is NEVER an option!

If at all possible, I place my handbag on an adjoining chair, but if a chair is not free, then I use my Hookup, which I love. I bought silver and gold, so match the hardware on my handbag.
