Where to place bag when in restaurant?

I either use a folding purse hook or an extra chair when available.

Not exactly the answer to your question, but I always carry a little clutch with a wrist strap. That way, I can leave my purse in the car if need be! I don't know why I never thought of a purse hook!

When I go to a restaurant, I never put my purse on the floor (filthy) or the back of my chair. If there is room it goes next to me, whether it's in the booth or on another chair. Otherwise, I have a pursehook (a Hello Kitty one I ordered from Strapya) with which to hang it from the table edge.

I sometimes leave my purse home when we go out to a restaurant b/c I am nervous something will spill on it....or a waiter/waitress will spill something on it by accident, etc....I have to get over this fear and bring my purse with me everywhere I go, everytime!

I like to sit in a booth at a restaurant so that it can sit right next to me. i don't like those table and chairs restaurants. otherwise it sits right behind me (literally) like a bag cushion

This is what I do too. When I carry a bag that has feet I place it on the floor in front of me when sitting it a table.

at my lap. so... i am not surprised whenever i find some food stain on my bags. too scared to leave my bag on another chair or the floor! but if i really, really feel that the resto is secure, then i put it in another chair, together with my mom and sister's bags
