Where to place bag when in restaurant?

LOL.. all my handbags has their own seat or they sit on my lap. Sometime, I put them behind me. But they never ever place on the floor. Its dirty there & I refuse to let them sit there. My friends think I'm weird but that's fine.

Back to topic: I usually place my bag behind me or if there is an empty chair then I'd put it there. Yes, never on the floor...

Behind me(sometimes that means sitting close to the edge) or on the back(if it is safe) orin a seperate chair...NEVER ON THE FLOOR....I hate when I see people put their bags on the floor, then again their bags are usually not designer bags

I agree! We don't wear street shoes indoors (but I think that varies by culture) and we even used to wipe our chihuahua's feet with baby wipes before we let her back in the house after a walk.

I'm glad you don't wear your shoes in the house! I don't either. But almost all of my friends do... and I have to ask them to please remove their shoes... one of my friends even wears her shoes on top of her bed! YUCK

I totally agree with you!!!! I paid good money for my babies so there's no way I'm putting them on dirty restaurant floors!!! And if there's no place to hang it or put it down in the bathroom, I'm clutching on to them even if it means having to do a balancing act in stiletto shoes!! :smile1:

anyone ever suspend their bag in the air between their legs? hehehehe, I did that once in a crowded restaurant. The chair was too small and my bag was too big to put on my lap, so i had to suspend my bag between my knees in the air so it won't touch the ground! not very comfortable, but i didn't want to get my Gucci dirty!.

I usually ask for a booth (if the restaurant has them) or pull up an extra chair.

Rolo, a store in Yorkville, also carries pursehooks, in case you're in Toronto! They carry all kinds, including one similar to this, and the hooks run @ $30. Everytime I pull mine out, any girlfriend I'm with always gasps, "Where did you get that? That's such an awesome idea!"

As an aside, I distinctly remember my grandmother having a pursehook years ago! I guess the practicality of them never wore off! LOL

I put it on an extra chair and cover it with my jacket!! If it was too crowded I put it behind me and cover it with my jacket again!!! Ya it's all about covering with jacket!!!

In an extra seat if there is one. If there is no extra seat, I hang the strap on my knee and rest the bag on top of my foot. Sounds strange I know, but it's better than the floor. (I have a Deauville with a shoulder strap.)

I place it on its own chair or beside me on the chair...
You know what else--I have a blanket in the car that I place on the car seat for my bags. There is no way they will sit on the car floor either :)

I never put my purse down anywhere! I keep it on my shoulder if it's a shoulder bag, and in the crook of my arm, if it's not!

In restaurants she gets her own chair, or is seated next to me in a booth.

There are germs everywhere and you can't be too careful. I may sound like a germafobe, which I am not! It is just a fact of life that you don't know who or what has been there before you!
