Agree on the charms. It’s gotten to a point where they’re bleeding into the bag fund. I’m not sure what has changed in me over the past six months, but I have slowly become more apprehensive on spending $3k+ on whimsical leather goods. A thousand dollar skateboard charm? Sure, it’s basically $999! A bolide shark charm i requested a half year ago has finally arrived but I really am doubting spending that much on what is basically a coin purse, granted a very exquisitely made one. One of a kind jewelry has been catching my eye more lately….

UO: I apologise if this was mentioned before but I quite frankly don't understand the appeal of the "To-Go" collections. I was offered both a Constance To Go and a Kelly To Go, both of which I rejected. I don't see the appeal of such a slim wallet. I have more than enough card space but the bag isn't wide enough for anything much other than keys and a lip balm. It just feels incredibly impractical as I will undoubtedly need another bag to put my things in. I don't understand why not buy a bag big enough to fit a wallet instead of cramming and buying a wallet-turned-bag. To me it feels like such a waste of money! Buy a non-designer wallet and buy a bag. Don't buy something that definitely does not offer "the best of both worlds". At least for Chanel WOCs, (which I don't like as well) I understand buying something from the brand at a lower price point than a bag, but when a "To-Go" wallet at Hermes costs around 6,000 USD or more, I can't find myself justifying that kind of money for a glorified wallet.

Your comments are spot on! Besides, H makes great SLGs. When I started getting smaller bags, I swapped my regular Bearn wallet for the small one. The most practical little wallet.
The ongoing price increases are making many H bag concepts ridiculous, as if the Maison is searching for customers with more money than common sense.

UO: re impending price increase I think non qb regular leather prices should remain the same and all qb and exotic bag prices whether qb or non qb should go up. Regular non qb prices are already getting harder to stomach. As for qb I would like to see the increase to help dampen the demand by those who are just in it for the games and/or flipping. Doubt increases for exotics would impact the brand’s bottom line given the type of clientele who typically can buy those items. But alas doubt an increase of 3-7% will really deter these flippers and flexers. Perhaps 15-20% might be a game changer.

UO: it seems like our members are still shopping, but I’m getting more ticked off about price increases. Prior to tariff talk, Hermes Fall RTW was already marked up to the stratosphere, for instance 17K USD for a denim jacket with leather. My SA told me that she would like to keep the order (no commitment). but I told her, at that price, or more, I’m not sure I’m interested. Having thought it over, I’ve decided that I’m not interested. Somehow, I’m not as ticked off re Chanel. Maybe bc their CEO hasn’t come out and admitted that they will gouge.

This.

I get it’s the governments fault but you just had a price increase. I have a lot of mixed feelings about who “should” take on the burden of the tariffs. But it feels worse coming from a company that has scheduled price increases every year already.

The prices for Hermes RTW has been over the top for several seasons but there is a new generation
of H RTW lovers & they put blinders on when it comes to pricing.
Many styles are repeated if not similar & the same with colors.
@880, good that you made that decision for yourself & felt no pressure in doing so & I'm sure
that your SA has heard that not just from you but other clients as well.
Many of us are feeling the same. Buy less but have it be special & unique
I'm particularly ticked off that existing inventory will have increased prices with merchandise that
has been on the shelves likely since the beginning of the year

That’s the shameless part that’s a bit hard to stomach. They could have easily taken a wait and see approach….

Also, shopping in Europe is so much cheaper. The difference pays for business class ticket, hotel, meals with room to spear. I also do not feel like the Chanel increase is as steep.
