Recently a friend told me they asked a popular reseller for a quote on their b25 in a neutral color. The reseller declined noting they had too many of that particular bag. Didn’t even offer a consignment and the bag btw from what I’ve seen is in excellent condition.

My latest UO: H may be losing its cachet with certain colors and sizes and styles of bags. I think we’ve seen comments here before about how there seem to be a lot of neutral bk offers like gold and black lately. Perhaps there are too many bags now in the market. Some clients who’ve been buying bkc may think they’re sitting on piles of cash but that may not be in all cases. For those only wanting the bags, you may want to consider buying resale. more often bags look to be sitting for long periods of time. Prespend items have also dropped in value even more so than before.

I got a quote for one of my kelly bags. Reseller declined my offer saying it was in palladium hw and said “good luck with that”. (I still prefer PHW regardless)

Id rather buy a black bag from other luxury houses. For Hermes, there’s so many other color options to choose from if lucky enough.

GOOD LUCK WITH THAT? LOL omg. Palladium is starting to be a bit more sought after lately... "good luck with that"

If you cannot get a bag in the timeframe you want, don’t assume the issue is simply you/your prespend/ or your SA

It could be that your SA hasn’t been authorized to offer any of her clients the bag; that the leather manager has already allotted too many other bags to that SA /or her other clients; that she has longer tenured clients who have been waiting longer; or, countless other reasons

H is getting just too expensive for me. I don't mind occasionally getting scarf here and there, but I think after I get my SO, I'll be done. I feel very happy with my collection.
Agree, some H pieces are getting up there. And with all that’s going on in the headlines it does put things into perspective. I wish I was joining you in purse peace!:drinks: I still have a few bags I’d love for my attempt at a curated collection. But for now I’m just over yonder in ban island

I tend to agree - but even more for RTW and shoes than bags unfortunately, as I like some of their pieces a lot. Leather RTW are sometimes just crazy, esp also compared to a few years back whereas the bags have increased more reasonably in most cases. I will probably buy less RTW, just the absolutely outstanding pieces with lots of use. Maybe 0-1 per year compared to 3-4 now.

Same. I passed on a silk dress that I loved but would only wear couple times a year, considering my lifestyle and climate. Same amount got me home pieces that family also enjoy.

Exactly - me too! I loved the dress but hey, it was 6000+ € and I would maybe have worn it 4-8 times a year. Plus, very delicate, one rip and the dress is gone forever
