@Lady_P You just reminded me of a photo that I have almost totally forgotten. It is a hideous one that was offered to a friend from quite a few years ago. It is so ugly that even the person who ordered it did not want it. My friend had the sense to pass.

My UO: If one ordered a bag that even the “mother” can’t love, that person should be banned for life.

Trust me. This is far from the most hideous. But it made me sick to look at it.

Another opinion that is unpopular with me but popular with the creator of this bag: They don’t understand why I keep buying black bags or even SO black bags. They must think I am really dumb as one can’t tell from five miles away that it is an SO.

But seriously! Why wasn’t the SA just like “no, I won’t even place the order with it looking like that.”?? And doubly, imagine the artist that had to stare at this every day while in production. They would need to take a holiday after this trauma! “I’m sorry. We won’t make you work on hideous color combinations ever again.”

I like that bag more than most bags posted on the reveal threads. 🤣

I never accepted a Gold on Gold or etoupe with GHW given how popular it is where I live. I wouldn’t mind those shades but with more unique bags ( Barenia with GHW / gris tourterelle ostrich), I like that most of my bags are not as common, and I find myself interested in non-Q for traveling.

I have been trying to bite my tongue on that subject . Why do you have to out me?

As a touch owner, I can say that not all touch bags are appealing to me personally.

I specifically like it on a birkin, mine is B30 in Beton with Matte Gator and I can’t have enough of it !

The only touch that I would love to add next is the B30 ostrich with crocodile touch. I love the Meil and cognac combo ! That would substitute the GoG option for me.

Perhaps they don't photograph well, but unless the skins are very well matched, or well contrasted they don't 'work' for me

Yikes! I love the red. I love the blue. Together? less sure. Reminds of a bag I bought in Florence, Italy at a small shop - gorgeous textured leather, body of the bag a bright blue with bright orange trim. It was a fun bag that summer but, it hasn't had staying power in my purse wardrobe and I wouldn't want to sink real money into that sort of thing. My unpopular opinion is that I think a bag should go with more than one look. This holds true for evening bags too. You might buy a bag to finish off a certain outfit but, you should be able to build on it as time goes by.

When my friend showed me that photo, I bit my tongue so hard. I was so afraid that he bought it for his wife. I just got another black B and he was asking me to sell it to him. I told him I don’t share. . That was at least 5 years ago. The sight of the bag still traumatizes my sensitive soul.

I thank God that he did not buy it.

Another UO of mine: If you found this bag repulsive, this is only about 50th percentile of the hideous bags.

I don’t disagree at all. We are saying the same thing.

And I didn’t mean that I wish I had a wardrobe that could support a bag like that. That is easily bought. I think the self confidence to make a bold choice to stand out is far more necessary, important and admirable.

I actually LOVE these! You just know that someone who carries a bag like that has fun and knows their own style. They are not suited to everyone, more into ‘quiet luxury’ myself, (black) but I salute those who enjoy their bags, flaunting their individuality. Looking at the whole outfit @meowlett makes perfect sense! Context is everything.
