What’s your unpopular Hermes opinion?

Just reminds me those handbag feet protectors. The feet were there to protect the bag already, why do they need protection to protect a protector itself? I’m lost…….

💯 on feet and stickers…even if one is a collector and not actively using their bags, H bags are so much more beautiful naked and free, exposing beautiful hardware etc .

So my UO is H bags are most beautiful when naked. No hate to those who love twillies and charms…they all have their place in the world …..just not on my bags. I say this as I’m on the hunt for my first bag charm…

PS. I know many people have many examples of how others may lie about their offers/experiences…. Perhaps I’m naive, but especially on these forums - what incentive do people have to lie??? This is not a clickbait/viewship scenario…what would the personal gain be to lie about this stuff?

UO: after payment, before leaving the boutique, consumers should be “invited” to take all stickers off their new bags… only after that they should be packed and allowed to leave the boutique.

To stay on topic… My latest UO is I really don’t like the lipstick. Or the fragrances. My SA gave me samples and I find they almost all have an unpleasant smell. And with lipstick, it’s right under my nose, so…

As the owner of 0 bags I have the most to say. Guys, yesterday I was down because the reality hit. I read several pages and you're so creative, I was laughing so hard. However, I thought I've seen a lot in my life but living for likes, approval, admiration from no name strangers is crazy. The attention seeking with fakes. My YouTube algorithm got crazy with orgasmic unboxing, comparisons. It's also funny you cannot want Hermes because of the reputation and as a next step when you fulfilled your previous list and because you liked what you saw. If you want to adopt/buy a dog - your motivation and character should be checked. As for bag - not comparable.
UO - some people boasts fakes, same legit but... it's way easier to have a few bags than let's say a few homes, even one proper preferably with tennis court, pool, maybe even a boat and so on if we go big and bold.
As for SA - they think they're CEO, way above their real station. If they get fired - I don't want to be a douche but it's a long fall. So they better be educated and polite at least.

I dislike ‘hauls’ of any kind - the term itself is offensive. It was bad enough when people used to H&M and ZARA hauls but now we have Hermès ‘hauls’ normalised? It’s wasteful for the environment -plus it promotes sort of a toxic ‘up manship’ culture.
The irony is not lost on my being on TPF but is one thing shopping with discernment over a period of years and another stuffing ones face with ‘all you can eat buffet’.

Thank you for pointing it out, as a non native "haul" didn't strike me as much. I accepted it like.. slang or expression. But I get it. I also treat this forum as giving solid advice from many people, what to beware of, recommendation. Maybe some flaunt but people really do try to help from jewelry to bags and they put their knowledge to good use. It's not just "oh guys, it's amazing, so gorgeous, fell in love. The sound people give off when they open theirs 30th Hermes as they you were so surprised and 20 minutes of (over)analyzing. For me one solid video and I know all I should (almost). I imagine influencers trying to up another. Here the majority don't buy 10H bags a year (somehow 2 a year doesn't work for some influencers?).
