Within reason, a big YES. If im paying $12,000 for it or $40,000 (exotic).
Another luxury brand took my full leather bag in for repair free of charge, without question and that bag cost me retail $2,500.
I suppose they could charge 2k for xtra and include two services in it…
As the owner of two Kelly bags my UO is they aren’t that difficult to open if you set them down. I’ve heard many complaints about people leaving them hanging open because they don’t have access to what they want but they want to access the bag while it’s swinging off their shoulder. Now from my avatar you can see I do like a partially closed bag but only because I like the casual aesthetic. But did we all get in such a hurry that we don’t have time to open a clasp and close it back up? I guess that’s also an UO that I think people need to slow down.
My UO is that the life-long spa services are a myth. There are cases where this is impossible. I own a courcheval Bolide that Paris was unable to spa.
I overdid it with pink bags and don’t carry them enough. No more, for now…!
I agree! I find that the Kelly is pretty easy to close even while on the go - after a while, it's easy to guide the touret through the plaque without even looking at it, even one-handed. I still would probably have to double check if I decide to secure the sangles, but I usually wear the Kelly as in your profile photo.
The Birkin, on the other hand... I plead the fifth.
It’s a feed bag riff I believe. But yeah. I will not be running out to purchase.
Unpopular opinion but a lot of the RTW does not wear well. I went to the H sale today and was surprised to see how much of the knit RTW was clearly worn from handling with pilling etc. I have a few pieces that I treat very well and are fine but this didn’t make me want to buy anymore. There were some pieces I had considered buying at full price and I was really glad I didn’t after seeing the condition today.
THis is so true. Thats why i stopped buying their cashmere and wool items.
My UO is that I’m glad bags are offered on their own sweet timeline. If I had gotten the bags the day I wanted them, it would have led to regrets. When I first started to think about getting a Hermes bag I was sure I wanted a K32 and nothing smaller, was absolutely not interested in an Evelyne, and didn’t quite understand the practical differences between a sellier and retourne, etc. It took several months to understand that K32 is not a good size for my 5 foot height, that K25 retourne is an amazing size, sellier is not for me, and an evelyne TPM is a bag I use almost every day !!
