Unpopular opinion for sure but I wish Hermes made more...practical bags. I live in NYC, I'm a lawyer that goes into the office most days, and by subway (with a long walk to Hudson Yards!). I want a bag with an exterior pocket for a phone/metrocard, that zips closed, that's relatively lightweight, that can fit enough to leave the house for the day. The current bags are beautiful, lovely for perhaps weekends, but not practical for my daily lifestyle. I know, why spoil Hermes with pragmatism, but for the money, I'd love something more suitable for the NYC grind.

I'm also rather annoyed that I seem to have to prove I am not a bot every time I visit the site when reaching it from a link here, and am then redirected not to the specific page but the home page.

My final unpopular opinion for the day is that the scarf rings are underrated and I have amassed an inappropriately sized collection.
I have the same fervent wish. I am able to use a K28 some days, but would really be great to have a bag that could fit my laptop but not weigh 10000 lbs. perhaps one day!!

Same here - considered a K35 but this really meant squeezing the laptop/ mac book in and did not really look or feel good. B35 and B40 do the job most of my work days but are a tad to casual for some outfits. A Lakis 35 in black box (or rouge H or Vif) sounds divine …

Re @Steve b's post #6318 above:

In a recent convo with my SA re my wishlist, she asked if I would accept Epsom. I said, "absolutely not!" Her reply . . . "I love you!"
It’s always been no until it’s a yes.

Unfortunately Epsom is unavoidable if you love a Sellier bag. I wouldn’t turn down a B/K that otherwise had all the right specs (color, hw, size) because it was Epsom. It has its pluses. Actually I’m waiting for an SO Birkin Sellier - my first SO that isn’t chevre, but it is only being produced in Epsom. Lots of people don’t like Epsom. Or Chevre.

UO: I don’t like Swift. :blah:

OK @Notorious Pink inspired me to post my unpopular opinion..
I REALLY REALLY want a Swift bag!B35 or maybe 40.
Confession time..I own nothing in Swift but I prefer smooth leather and due to a new job I need to Carry a Macbook Air and an Ipad. Powerpack, and headphones (in addition to notebooks, an iphone 15 water bottle etc etc) on my commute at least 3 times a week..
SO I really really need a lightweight cool work tote.
At the moment I'm using the ugly backpack my company gave me...
My Garden Party is great but the open top worries me in the rain, They all fit in my Herbag backpack but the thin-ish leather straps cut into my shoulders due to the weight.
And I actively dislike Epsom
I think Hermes really need to think about bags lightwight enough for working women who actually commute (Is that another unpopular opinion?)

ive seen reseller’s not disclosing a for sale bag’s leather type on instagram stories if the bag is epsom. They would just advertise the color, size, hardware. This is bait to anyone not familiar with Hermes leathers and end up buying the bag.

That’s my observation. That wont necessarily deter me from buying it though. Let’s just say epsom is not my favorite leather but i would still buy it. The only leather i would never buy for how ugly it is is ombre lizard.

I'll join you both in the bar @steve.b and @maxroxxherhandbags as I really dislike Epsom which I think looks like cheap fake plastic leather. Fortunately I also strongly dislike the sellier style of the Kelly and the Birkin so I'll never feel like I have to compromise myself ;)
I love Swift and I really really want a B30 or B35 in Swift.

UO: I love using a B35 as a commuter bag on my one mile walk to and from the office, as it accommodates my laptop, lunch, etc and my biceps are super buff :gotmuscles:

What's your UO? That you think others don't like Swift?

I own Swift bags and SLGs. I think there was a misleading rumour about Swift years ago, I can't even remember what it was now. Anyway, Swift's magic, you'll love it.
