I'm starting to think that the actual UO surrounding the MK is liking it.

Which leads me to my UO.. I really love the MK, but I think that I look at it for what it is. Totally impractical, doesn't hold anything, it's just for looks to me. All form, very little function.

From an aesthetic perspective, I think it is adorable and chic for nights out. Truthfully, I only really use MKs for date nights with my husband, no kids, when I literally don't carry anything with me outside of lip gloss; no CCs, maybe an ID, no car keys.
I have to agree with your UO! I like my MK’s for nights out. It fits my regular size iPhone just fine. My phone case holds cc. I can also fit lip gloss and a thin pack of mints. And even a small power bank! Don’t really need anything else!

Unpopular opinion for sure but I wish Hermes made more...practical bags. I live in NYC, I'm a lawyer that goes into the office most days, and by subway (with a long walk to Hudson Yards!). I want a bag with an exterior pocket for a phone/metrocard, that zips closed, that's relatively lightweight, that can fit enough to leave the house for the day. The current bags are beautiful, lovely for perhaps weekends, but not practical for my daily lifestyle. I know, why spoil Hermes with pragmatism, but for the money, I'd love something more suitable for the NYC grind.

I'm also rather annoyed that I seem to have to prove I am not a bot every time I visit the site when reaching it from a link here, and am then redirected not to the specific page but the home page.

My final unpopular opinion for the day is that the scarf rings are underrated and I have amassed an inappropriately sized collection.

I would fall over if mine handed me his phone at dinner.

💯 to all of the above. I can get my iphone15; card case; and sunglasses in my valextra universal case or mints/sanitizer inside. . . As I get older, I dislike bag weight

Agree with you - I use my 35cm bolide for this kind of use, but I long for a 32 or 35cm lakis!!! (Also a NYC lawyer)

It's the Lawyers' Lament - why can't someone make a beautiful, lightweight, elegant, easy-to-access bag that doesn't give icky briefcase vibes and holds a laptop without looking like people are schlepping their whole office around! I feel like a 35 Lakis could be the answer but UO it is just Too Much Bag in the larger sizes.

I’ve never seen this practice and SAs in my store and at a dear TPF friends store BH assure me that they do not do this or have shrink wrap machines at the ready to satisfy
Hahaha! We have had many conversations specifically about that urban myth and the behind the scenes shrink wrap machines with the BH SAs. In fact, shrink wrap is no longer used in BH. Generally, single use plastics have been banned in many cities in California, including plastic bags and straws. All new boxes are wrapped in a single brown strip of paper that resembles brown paper wrapping.

I know this is not popular, but my SA is truly one of my most treasured buddies, really.

Discontinued now, but a Caravan or Caban might fit your requirements?

1. Buy an Evelyne 29 and a pouch to go in it. Job done.

2. 💯 H's bot detector is a good reminder to never trust or rely on technology completely.

3. 💯 If my memory serves me correctly I have 7 (including 2 croc Romance, 2 Mors, 2 flat reversible Cd'As and the brown/yellow/white enamel buckle design). One Chaine d'Ancre was a mistake, I thought I'd lost the original and replaced it with the same as I couldn't live without it.

IMO, scarf rings are like bag charms and cadenas, someone has to a) love them, know which ones will suit them and b) get into the habit of using them (playing around when there's time). Getting dressed is usually in a hurry, that's not going to be the time when one starts trying to figure out how to work with a new accessory.

My UO H belt kits have an unwarranted bad reputation as 'loud' and flashy. Firstly, a Constance buckle is only one choice, there are plenty more, and even then most buckles are fairly small. Secondly, swinging a B, K, or especially C, or flip-flopping in Orans, or basically any recent H shoe, is just as H-signifying.

Well said. Charms, Cadenas, Scarf rings are well worn by people who really love them and know how to integrate them into their general aesthetics. That's why the trend of 'Jane Birkinfying' has been a disaster for the most part. People who normally won't use charms are piling items from their toy boxes and jewellery cases.

To stay OT, my UO is Hermès Charms are sooo boring. Loewe, miumiu, Fendi even coach and Kate Spade beat the designs any day

Not OP, but unfortunately this combo would not even come close to meeting the functional need IME and looks way too casual. UO I just can’t seem to make my Evelyne work for me in any setting lol. I do love the “pouch inside the bag” solution for other uses though. I have a gold evercolour Zipengo that I throw into a YSL straw tote or even into a Le Pliage when I’m on very casual vacations

Some people do. It’s part of the H game psychology of feeling special that a bag was reserved only for you and never showed to anyone else or that an SA thought about you first right when they got the shipment.

I personally dont mind but i did experience my b25 fully wrapped. When she told me if i want it before coming to the store, i asked for a pic but she said to look online lol. And that mad ene think at that time that it was kinda strange. So i would think some customers really do thats why my SA responded that way.
Yup my SA usually says "Google it"
