Can we send them to France or Japan instead? Thanks for the memories Pierre Hardy but it’s time. I hope whoever next leads the shoe design team has spent some time in Italy learning how to make a d##n shoe.

I'm about 95% confident my comment will get deleted, but as someone who's spent a decent amount of time on Reddit, this is something several subreddits have had to address and some will just have a full-on automod respond to every post with a link to an FAQ or something.i wish Vlad would create an auto response algorithm to people who don't use search to respond to the high volume of posts that are essentially the same
To be fair, I don't have the patience that some of our members do to answer these types of questions and I applaud them. But as a growing grouch I realized the more types of similar questions show up I also have less patience to scroll through... that is my issue. I wish others happy posting and repeating of the same question as often as you like. my opinion is for me.
- What is the pre-spend level I must have to be offered a quota bag? Unknowable and variable. Your mileage may vary.
- What is the inventory level at xxx store? Unknowable and variable unless any of us work in that store and do inventory management
- Is my SA ghosting me or am I being oversensitive about xxx interaction? Maybe and maybe not
- How do I maintain a relationship that gets me a quota bag? Spend early and often
- Is there a quality issue (shows microscopic flaw) with my bag? Only in HD.
As a relatively new H customer, my unpopular opinion is that both sides are valid.I'm about 95% confident my comment will get deleted, but as someone who's spent a decent amount of time on Reddit, this is something several subreddits have had to address and some will just have a full-on automod respond to every post with a link to an FAQ or something.
I will save this post from guaranteed deletion by adding an unpopular opinion: the H forum here is not always easy to navigate. So many of the very useful threads are miles long. We're talking 15-16 years of posts. Which is great because there's tons of information, but it's not always easy for a newbie to figure out where to start, or what's relevant to the present day.
I think this is a great perspective. I'm also a relatively new shopper, but I've been around forums basically my whole life, so I'm used to the grumblings of more experienced members when someone shows up with what they consider to be a newbie question. But I do agree that it was hard to "jump in" and start asking/learning because I just didn't know where to start. And that's part of why I rarely go to any of the other designers' forums, even though I shop at many of them! I don't want to be "that person."As a relatively new H customer, my unpopular opinion is that both sides are valid.
I can understand why the OGs here think some of the newbies' questions are frustrating. And indeed they can be, especially when the questions are low-effort posts that verge on asking for free handouts (of information) on the topic of prespend/SA relationship/inventory. Bonus if the question is being asked from a new profile with no history of contribution on the forum.
But at the same time, as a relatively new customer, I am not very familiar with the history of the brand and all the different products that are currently in production. So I might be asking a question that some might think is "redundant" (e.g. I recently asked if the Kelly Disordre come in any sizes other than 20- it may have been a "dumb" question), but nevertheless I ask just to see if I will get a reply. And I am grateful if someone answers. And I have to admit, I had to browse for a long time before mustering up the courage to start posting here because the layout of the forum is confusing and there are just years and years of pages. So I understand why someone would post asking for an updated info.
So my unpopular opinion is that the sentiments of both sides are valid. And of course, don't forget that you're under no obligation to answer if you don't want to. This isn't a job! It's ok to feel frustrated. Have a good rest of your weekend everyone.
In Hermes defence I wold say that Hermes usually has a modelling/styling shot, a detail shot and a full pattern shot for each colourway of each design; the modelling/styling shot is not always the same for each colourway. Not sure if this is very unpopular but:
Can H put up more mod shots of the scarves on their website? More knot/styling variations, models with different skin tones? Like what are we supposed to do with a single picture? It drives me nuts. I will happily buy things in store but I would like to have an idea of how things wear before asking my SA.
I think it might have been @Notorious Pink who noted the prevalence on H.com of scarf styles thatNot sure if this is very unpopular but:

I love the old website. That was my unpopular opinion too. Unpopular to whoever at H that removed it. I have bought way fewer scarves afterward. I am not an impulsive scarf buyer. I need to plan. When in doubt, my default answer will be a no.I think it might have been @Notorious Pink who noted the prevalence on H.com of scarf styles thatabsolutely no one eververy few of us wear, such as the pirate head wrap
My unpopular related opinion is that I now actually miss the old scarf-focused ancillary website (Maison du....something haha) even though it was a hot mess from a tech standpoint.
Completely agreed. In that same vein, just because Birkin and Kelly Picnics are rare and expensive does not make them suitable for evening functions. Bags in different materials are made for particular seasonal use too. I get wanting to flaunt a hot new bag but overall the bag should complement your outfit and the settings of the event; the bag SHOULD NOT wear you.The Birkin is a casual tote bag, not an evening bag. Just because something is expensive doesn't mean it's formal. I've seen B25s and B30s at evening functions and they look very out of place

(Maybe really unpopular but I think the Picnic bags belong to summary garden settings and similarly, seeing a Doblis bag in the heat of summer just irks me).
I love this!I forget that most of the real world has no idea.
Given that the thread goes OT every other page, should the thread title be changed to
“Unpopular Hermes Subforum Opinions” ? It is a broader topic, but might more accurately
reflect the content.
Yes, but remember all those AI pictures of the gloomy girl wearing every scarf? Not sure if this is very unpopular but:

This! I was looking at the Wildlife thread and, while the bag is beautiful, I couldn’t get over the photo of the woman wearing a Picnic Birkin with a fall/winter coat. Money != Taste.Completely agreed. In that same vein, just because Birkin and Kelly Picnics rare and expensive does not make them suitable for evening functions.
