Unpopular opinion: I like some of the makeup even though it might be "overpriced." I quite like the nail polish. It doesn't chip as easily as Chanel's and there are some classic colors. Recently bought a LE lipstick and I love the formula. They almost seem too indulgent to buy for yourself on the reg but they would make thoughtful gifts to the ones in your life who would appreciate a little luxury. Also if you don't wear that much makeup, it's better to have few of high quality than many of average, no? I hate clutter and would rather use few lipsticks and nail polish until they die. Then replace them.

Unpopular opinion coming up..
I don't like the lipsticks.
I find the colours a little too insipid for my liking-They promised much but when I tried them they were just meh.
I LOVE the nail polish however as previously mentioned it wears well and they do some great colours (Vert Egyptian is my favourite)
It strikes me as contradictory that the brand does things like green and blue Mascara, Green and bright yellow nail polish but doesn't make lipsticks where the colour on the lips is stronger and more saturated.
I prefer Gucci and Prada's lipstick if I were to compare other non cosmetic brands recent forays into the beauty sector.
And Gucci mascara is fantastic

New unpopular opinion based on things I've seen in this and other threads:

Call me jealous, but I'm sick of hearing about how much better things were "way back when." I say this as someone newer to the brand and, apparently, somewhat younger than the crowd in general. But still! There's so much to love and enjoy about H, and I can't help but think that someday, we'll be saying that today's H was the "good old days"!

Heck yes. The designs now are cartoons, reissues with polka dots, flat, without beautiful details - designs look computer-generated. But this is not an unpopular opinion!
Napoleon had embroidered bees

Unpopular opinion: there was more innovation than simply slapping a BdG on every format
(no offense As I like BdG)

In the old days, I had a much smaller budget and couldn’t afford as many bags
But, TPFers congregated at WS Friday afternoons; We knew everyone and all the SAs knew us
It was very different.

unpopular opinion: these days, the new H Madison is much warmer and friendlier, but still not as friendly as Chanel 57
where some of the SAs have been there since I started shopping RTW in 2001.

Me: cartoons? How are they cartoonish?

Me taking a mental inventory of what I have with Pegase Pop, Animapolis, and Mysterious Rider and looking at the current season: nevermind. I get it now.

Unpopular opinion: I still love them.

I think my 'unpopular opinion' may in fact prove very popular but here goes.
A 'Hermes Fairy/Angel' aka Sales assistant who gets a client what they want is actually just doing what they should be doing-
Meeting client needs and putting money in the till.
There is no such thing as a 'fairy' or 'angel' when it comes to them being there to get to part with your money for the greater good of store sales targets.
Every time I see a SA referred to as such I cringe.
And another opinion...
There appears to be a newer strain of SA coming through..Those who smelling the hunger and desperation to be one of the 'chosen' to receive a bag offer see clients as cash cows.
Sensing the eagerness to please them, the SM etc etc they 'suggest' items from harder to shift categories and hence the flood of new unused or almost new home-ware,fine jewellery, watches and rtw of the resale market often at highly discounted prices.

Although I sense a bit of schadenfreude in your posts here, I actually agree with you. My unpopular opinion is that I find Hermes bags less appealing when I see people who are kinda silly vogueing in their SKIMS with their MK, cameraman following, doing numerous takes on Rodeo Dr. Just no. I think true fans of Hermes agree that this frenzy is overdone. The popularity may have contributed to the price spike in their RTW last two seasons. My last receipt was an OMG moment, 40 percent higher than any of my other receipts.
This! I saw this so much in Paris this summer….gag…..IM(unpopular)O!

Related to the above, my unpopular opinion is some beautiful silk Carré designs do not translate to CSGMs. I'm not going to name designs, but sometimes I worry that someone in the scarf dept needs an eye test.

As for scarf designs not being what they used to be, that's not false memory or rose-tinted nostalgia, it's technology replacing former artisanal practice:
1. Laser printing brought in for mass production a decade ago have created some beautiful gradient effects, but also completely blank reverses.
2. Colour families brought have replaced what's best for an individual scarf design.
3. More and more artists creating designs as CADs and not as hand-drawn illustrations, paintings or other hand-crafted means. Software is programmed a certain way, good for cartoons, not for idiosyncratic art, thus designs look computer generated - which is what they are.

Next H AI scarf designs?
Happily, I see people are already bored of anything 3D-printed otherwise H could just churn out 'vegan' Orans.
