What’s your unpopular Hermes opinion?

I don’t think the bolide looks oldish, maybe in the larger sizes yes (oops). For the mini, size 25 and size 27 they look very girlish and cute to me. I really like the 27 with that cute oval haha.

Some colors can make one appear more ahem serious or mature - I know Gold ages me by 15 years.

And the tricolor mini and 25 Kellys look totally off to me. I don’t understand how Hermes makes such weird mismatched stuffs.

The funny thing is, the furniture is almost never available just by "add to cart". You end up with a call with a specialist and are given a wait time of a year. I think it's just there online to show us what we can't have

They could do the same for Birkins and Kellys then. Show us what we can't have so we can be told there's a wait time of a year plus. At least there'd be some good eye candy to oogle over online.

Same with certain fine jewelry too. Years ago, there was one necklace that my former store supposedly had global searched for me. It was "available" online and then it came with a fine print of extremely long wait time. So not an option. I honestly think that someone dropped the ball on my global search too because I ended up charge sending it from Beverly Hills.

My next unpopular opinion (unpopular to the management team of my former store for sure) is that it was pathetic that my former store made me wait for one year for that necklace that was readily available in BH. This was back in the good old days without the inventory shortage.

Unfortunately, the whole saga of acquiring it made the necklace less appealing and I have used it only a number of times in the last 5 years.

Yuck! Sorry about that. Definitely a ball dropped. I have had decent luck with global searches for jewelry. But...can you maybe do a sage smudge or something  so you can love the necklace? :flowers: I have a Gold GP I felt that way about (acquired from a very not nice person) but managed to shake off the bad vibes and now I use it all the time.

Ha ha. I totally forgot about the possibility of a sage smudge. I am totally open to it.

And since I posted a negative opinion about H and corporate social media team is probably watching now, I am going for my next unpopular opinion (unpopular for H but popular for many).

H should bring back the website that shows all of the current scarf designs and possible color ways.

There have been many speculations on why they removed it. For me, I just don't enjoy scarf shopping as much without knowing the full landscape. I like scarves, but I am not an encyclopedia like many of the experts here and only study and collect certain types of prints.

There were prints that I could have bought all CWs and I did not because I was too lazy to research what CWs were out there without the former website.
