What’s your unpopular Hermes opinion?

(possibly) unpopular opinion: if someone takes the time on tpf to offer a written (e.g. non-emoji) compliment about your picture/item, it is good form to acknowledge that, somehow, if even by an emoji.

There was a time on tpf when the emoji reaction option wasn't present. Yes, it added to much longer threads. Yes, it took more time to respond and sift. To me, that just makes actual narrative/written compliments all the more precious in the present day. Acknowledging the time/care/concern extended by a written compliment is a gracious gesture.

Do you mean a reply with an emoji, or an emoji on their compliment? (Still having guilt about failing to reply to all the responses on the week as Scarf Mistress, but I emojied like mad...)

@Hermezzy, you're one of the kindest and most eloquent members we have here! :flowers: I appreciate this post, I feel the same. It just takes a moment to acknowledge another member's kind comment or help regarding a question. That back and forth creates this community, and the sense of camaraderie that many of us enjoyed here for years.

...and I'm so glad you have played such a shining role in creating this sense of community! You were one of the bright lights that initially welcomed me to this forum many years ago, and I'll never forget that warmth and generosity...
