What's the most disappointing bag you've ever bought?

Ironically, it's the bag that first brought me here to tPF...the Isabella Fiore bronze metallic hobo!

Behold:

...and the vintage 2006 thread which I found on google back in the day and never looked back...

I just hardly ever carry this bag. I love variety but it just doesn't work with a lot of my wardrobe. Sigh...
This is a truly gorgeous bag, just had to say that, but for me it is LV speedy, i know a lot of people here swear by them but all my stuff just sort of flows to the middle and I can't find anything in a hurry.

I've been very lucky BUT I fell in love with last years black Miss Marc tote with the snowflake print, and I didn't check the dimensions very well. That thing is HUGE (like carry your average 7 year old in it) and the handles are tiny. They barely fit over small arms without a coat and because of the snowflakes it's definitely a winter bag, so wth?!? I should've returned it ASAP, but I still love the print, it just sits and I used it twice. What a waste.

Love this thread! I actually have several to put on the list.. I had a Dior Cannage in burgundy that I thought I loved. The dye from the bag transferred off to my hands and any piece of clothing I wore. I bought it from a Dior store and they attempted to "set the dye". I got it back and the dye continued to run. Dior did take it back.:woohoo: I have a Chloe Paddy that I had to have or I would perish... my things do not fit in it, never have. That bag has sat on a shelf for a year as I really wanted to just cut down on my purse things and keep her. HA! The paddy is now for sale on ebay.:crybaby: I just paid a fortune for a LV Mahina. The bag is drop dead gorgeous... but lacks interior compartments. I am now buying cases to sit inside the bag to hold my cell phone and things. The bag was heavy before, heavier now..... If I think about this too long, I'll be here all day with bags to report!

I have the same problem with the Mahina....it's like a black hole! So it sits and I don't carry it as much as I should, but I'm not ready to give up on it yet.

I bought a LAMB Cheetah Exter bag off of ebay....it is gorgeous and perfect quality, it's a frame style trimmed in black with cheetah print. But it is too small for me, so she's going up on ebay just as soon as I can get some pics together for the listing.

Cole Haan Triple Zip Satchel in gunmetal. I bought tjis before I realized I am not a satchel girl! It is a beautiful bag and the leather is TDF, but the style just ain't me. It's been sitting it its dustbag ever since. So sad it didn't work out.

Mine was an Isabella Fiore Knightrider Britta in Blue...another one of those super sale deals....when it arrived and I opened it up, it was like a big hunk of blue recycled PLASTIC!! I swear it was back in the box within 2 minutes and on the road to Neiman's for return!!

I have sold a lot of bags, but I was most sad about my Marc Jacobs Blake because at the time it was my most expensive bag ever and my first real designer bag. But it was just too heavy and I couldn't keep it.

I also sold a couple Gucci bags that turned out to be bad decisions, badly designed (IMO).

I've sold all my Coach, not because it let me down, but that I grew out of it.

I've never sold or returned a LV bag :) (except the one I bought from ebay that smelled like CIGARETTES)

I have to say it was my Balenciaga. Yes the leather is nice but it scuffs VERY easily because its thin. The corners started to wear after around two weeks and the tassels also wear easily and replacements are hard, if not impossible to get hold of. For the price of B-bags I expected more longevity of the bag.

A balenciaga- bought it for the hype but never really liked it on me- sold it.
A MJ denim bag with chain handles that hurt my shoulders to carry and it was so heavy- sold it.
A Mulberry from NM that weighed a ton and I sent it back.
A burberry that I have to decide by tomorrow if I am taking it back. It is too big.

Balenciaga City - It just hasn't held up as well as I thought it would.

Louis Vuitton Onatah PM - I really like the perforated logo pattern, but it just seems too fragile so I get paranoid. I hardly ever carry it now.

I actually dont think that I have a bag that was disappointing. I am usually very careful in which bags I invest in and do my research before I buy :)
If I dont love a bag at first sight I dont even pick it up lol. Though I do have a few bags that I have bought and didnt really like them at first but then they grew on me!:)

Mine was an Dechen Thurmanin Blue...another one of those super sale deals....when it arrived and I opened it up, it was like a big hunk of blue recycled PLASTIC!! I swear it was back in the box within 2 minutes and on the road to Neiman's for return!!

So funny, I returned the same bag to NM. It looked so pretty in the pics, and when I got it I thought "OMG, this is the biggest, heaviest, ugliest bag EVER"!!

My husband returned it and I told him to say (if they asked why) that it is the worlds ugliest bag........they were cracking up

LP Silver Zoe. Not only did I get a defective bag, but I realized I just don't like the silver as much as the gold I already had. It's also final sale so I can only exchange it and can't get a refund.

The bag looks nice in stock photos but terrible IRL.
