The first (and last--of this style/monogram) Fendi that I purchased and which brought me to TPf in the first place...this one:

This is the most disappointing bag I've ever purchased--and kept.

ICK, I just don't like it and actually starting turning my nose up at it the first time I saw it--out of the box. I snagged it from NM at such a GREAT price--practically a give-away price (something like $595 dollars AND an additional 40% off of that sale price AND FREE Shipping), but still, ICK! It's a huge bag and is just not me. It's handmade/beaded and I dunno, I just don't like and never really have.

Marc Jacobs Bruna in Raspberry. The size was perfect, the color was perfect, everything was perfect until it that pretty color started to fade within 2 weeks. I had to return it and I was sooo disappointed because I was so very in love with the bag.

A Betsey Johnson Fashion Safari medium satchel:

I don't know what I was thinking when I bought it. It's HUGE (much bigger than I would ever use). In the store, I thought it was unique, maybe charming, and I wanted to venture into brown purses. The worse part of this is that I knew when I took her out to play at home (with a MJ that I bought at the same time sitting next to her!) that I would never wear it and that I should return it immediately. But some foolish part of me said "sure you can return it, but if you take the tags off and put your things inside of it, you'll be forced to give it a try because you won't return it then". So, yep, I did just that, but I couldn't bring myself to walk out the door with her, especially with the MJ pleading to be carried. So she went back into her sleeper where she has remained ever since. I've kept her around as a reminder to follow my gut instincts about what I love, and take a deep thoughtful breath before plunging into "unique".

WHY do we do that? I've bought many bags just cuz they were a great deal and in my closet they still sit. I gotta say, at that price for a Fendi Forever Hobo, I would've jumped on it too. But I like the bag myself. Maybe you should just sell it (and to me :p). My most disappointing bag was a Marc Jacobs hobo that I got from NM for 995. It was just too plain to me and looked like I could have purchased it at any Marshall's or Ross. It has been in my closet in it's dust bag ever since the day I bought it. I don't know why I didn't return it, laziness I guess. I'm not one for returning bags really. I always tell myself in the store "if you buy it, it's yours" or else I would drive myself crazy thinking "should I or shouldn't I return it". I really think Marc Jacobs just isn't me. Haven't really seen any I've fallen in love with. I'm more of a Gucci girl, I guess.

I knew right away I would return the Chloe small Heloise the minute I felt the box. It honestly felt like an empty box it was paper-thin leather very fragile not for me!

^along the same lines that paper thin leather, Balenciaga bags were a disappointment to me. I kept thinking each bag would be different as I've purchased several over the past few years. I just have to suck it up and realize I'm not a Bal gal. I felt like I had to baby every bag for fear of scuffing the leather.

I bought a Belen Enchandia bag (new to me) a couple of years ago, I hadn't seen one before and was curious.

Oh what a HUGE disappointment after all the hype!! It was a tote style bag and it was dull, uninspiring and that the quality was not even worthy of it's used price, much people pay for them new.

I dumped it on ebay as soon as I could get rid of it.

A Foley and Corinna bag in that popular style where you can use it folded with the long strap or unfolded with the short handle. What a cheap, flimsy, awful bag. The leather was thin and the hardware was awful. I never used it and just sold it after I had it for a few months.

^Blah I'm eyeing those but also very worried about fading colors and splitting tassels without much use.

For me it was the Rebecca Minkoff Matinee

Loved it in the pictures, loved the smooshy leather, and endless pockets but alas it was HUGEE and overwhelming on my small frame *sad*

I got bargain goggles and bought a Bulga butterfly bag on super uber clearance a few years ago. It was final sale. It is huuuuuuge on me. Like almost as big as my torso. I've worn it a few times in the summer when I need to take a TON of stuff with me. But other than that, I rarely use it.

Luella bag, bought it when it's a hype...used less than 5 times cos it's too heavy and hard to open and close the bag, also I chose the large size which is too big...Sold it for only 1/5 of buying price, worst purchase ever...
