What's the most disappointing bag you've ever bought?

My chloe paddington.. although I still love the bag I bought it at a very reputable consignement store in NYC for $682 this was almost 2 yrs ago and now I see the price of the paddingtons has really dropped and I could have bought a cheaper preloved one for probably $200 less!!! anyway..I guess it was still a bargain considering they are like $1700 incl tax even now and the leather isn't even the same!!!

Also regret buying a D&G Susanne bag at the D&G sample sale last yr.. I still carry out from time to time and really wanted it at the time but now..not so much!!

I only THOUGHT it was that Cole Haan that I returned. Now, I have to gripe about a B. Makowsky. It's the Rockefeller Medium Satchel. Color (Cognac) is GREAT! Leather is GREAT! Hardware is GREAT! Overall style is GREAT! Handles are TERRIBLE!!! They were designed long to fit over coats. They are SO awkward...can't get access to the bag. can't hold it on your lap, can't open it to retrieve anything. Why didn't they just string BARBED WIRE around it?!!!

A black Gianfranco Ferre bag that had a F on the front of it. It was so long ago that I only vaguely remember it, but I mean, it was practically personalized! Don't know what I was thinking. At the time it felt selfish spending $200 on JUST A BAG, never mind that it way clearanced. That's changed since :p

^ That was supposed to go in another thread but somehow got here, and it won't let me edit.

Most disappointing bag? Small red Chloe Silverado. It was more a brick shade in person than in the photos.

i don't buy many bags- i tend to obsess forever before i buy one, so i haven't been majorly disappointed with any!

the only one i bought and returned was a Rebecca Minkoff morning after mini. i bought it on a whim when it was on major markdown at saks, brought it home, and after a week i hadn't even felt tempted to carry it. part of the problem was that i had got it in black, which was boring compared to their other colors. but overall i didn't think anything about it was super special, so i returned.

i still like these bags when i see other people carrying them, but for some reason it just wasn't my thing.

Probably my black gucci leather hobo (I'm not exactly sure of the style name). Within a month, the leather started to wear and it just looks cheap (and I baby my bags). Good thing I only paid $300 for it at the sale.

oh way too many. I used to buy too much on sale or get things that weren't me. Now I'm more careful, but still make some mistakes.

YSL chocolate patent leather Muse -- way too heavy/large. looks great in photos, but not on me.

YSL tribute -- wore it, but it just was never me. again I think it looks better in photos than IRL. Plus I like shoulder bags.

MJ - some bag with an insanely heavy gold chain. Great deal so I got a bag that was pink. pink?!? And I wear all blk.....

couple of randomn Saks 70% off sale bags....ugh returning nightmare. do not buy on the phone in the middle of a frenzy....I could have just gotten a Chanel reissue been 1,000% happier and saved myself the trouble!!

Belen Enchiada --- leather color faded quickly, not a comfortable bag to wear. I don't know, felt trendy and short lived for the price. Got two and wished I would have gotten one more classic bag.

Now I get more lightweight, practicle and classic bags. Favorite recent purchases were Chanels and a b-bag!

My speedy 25!! WHAT WAS I THINKING?? And matching zippy wallet. OMG that wallet was ony $10 CHEAPER than the bag why not put both together and get a better bag?

I saw a friend who had the same and I went the next day and copy catted her. whew.

I should have gotten a speedy 30 and a smaller wallet!

Belen Echandia TME midi - great style, but I was disappointed by the quality of the leather. I had it for a while and then sold it. Will stick with Mulberry from now on!
