What's the most disappointing bag you've ever bought?

My biggest disappointment is also the bag that helped me find TPF- an Isabella Fiore Quilty Pleasures Carina bag in platinum. I was dying for it- I spent almost a year hunting for it, and then, when I finally got it, it was gorgeous but huge and heavy. And being 5ft tall, it just overpowers me. I still love it, but I think I've carried it a total of about 5 times in the past 3 years. Mostly it just sits in it's box.

For me, it would be the LV EPI mabillon in lilac.

I just got into buying designer bag at that time and love the lilac color. At that time, this color was being discontinued at LV and they only have the mabillon left in lilac. For whatever reason, I must have LV EPI in Lilac and so I bought the mabillon. I used it only once since I bought it 5-6 years ago! A backpack is just so totally not my style. And the leather is so stiff.

I have the LV EPI Elise in lilac which I also bought at the same time.
That is still in use, thankfully. :p

I have gotten some dissapointing Chanel bagsbecause they were too small, and we do not have an Chanel so i can try them on first. I was also dissapointed with my RM Nikki. It was so plain. I just don't understand the hype.

Belen Echandia Love Me Mini...the hardware was so brassy looking. I paid full price and lost about 300. selling on the bay...the leather did smell good, tho.

OK...I just re-read this thread and my answer was the same both times, lol!

I share in your disappointment re: Belen Echandia. Ironically, that was my first handbag purchase from the PF. Looking back I"m thrilled I discovered this forum because it's helped me find my absolute favorite bags now!

I wonder how one can buy a bag and be disappointed? Maybe it's just me but I've never been disappointed with a bag that I personally chose and purchased. Just my two cents.

They are often online orders and they don't turn out to be what was expected. My most disappointing bag was due to the fact that it didn't feel like it should cost $700 and it was a pain to carry.

I think my most disappointing bag was also a Belen Echandia. The TMA in red. I lusted after the bag forever and to this day love the look and functionality of it. But the quality was disappointing. The lining ripped out of the top completely and yeah I probably overload my bags, which is why I didn't make a fuss, but this has never happened to any of my other bags. Anyway, my shoeguy fixed it and I stil carry it, but no more BE bags for me.
