What's the most disappointing bag you've ever bought?

Mulberry for me too
I just had to have a Bayswater in Chocolate Ivy.
Too small and I HATED the fold over.
I am definitely an open top, zip or snap girl.
It was a beautiful bag but was not me.

Besides my Kooba Sienna, a few more disappointments:

- F+C City Bag - I love the shape/design in general, and bought one shortly after they came out. I was quite disappointed by the quality for the price point - the bags are very unfinished, with poor stitching, lining, etc. I though that it was a fluke, so I returned the bag and later on bought another one. Same story.

- Anything Rebecca Minkoff bag or small leather good purchased after 2008. Poor quality control, poor CS. I liked the company for the first few years, but since then I have been disappointed with the direction that it has taken.

- Prada small leather goods (Saffiano wallets). I have owned a few styles of these, and they always split in inconvenient places, even after light wear. Not worth the price at all, IMO.

One of my beiggest disappointments was my Louis Vuitton Mon Monogram Speedy. When ordering it at the boutique, the SA was pressuring me to choose a particular design/colors. I didn't listen to her of course, but it made the experience significantly less enjoyable than I had anticipated.
After waiting months and months for it, one of the colors began to scratch off within 2 days of use (this was after the SA assured me that the colors cannot possibly scratch off). The only good part of the story is that they gave me a full refund since it was defective!

Kooba Cameron metallic pink python-embossed tote. Lovely design, just the metallic embossed "scales" peel without much use and you can see the tan leather beneath and between the scales! I still want to keep it because I do like the design and I got it at an awesome discount; I just wish it were in the regular leather. I'll keep using it even if it'll look like peeling crap.

The other one is the Gustto Baca of a particular season(s), which I thought was very, very hideous to begin with, but all the TPF'ers that I saw talk about it were exclaiming at how incredibly soft it was. I was so curious about how soft it was that I bought at 255 bucks at a consignment store online (Anne's Fabulous Closet or something). The leather was soft, maybe very soft even, to the touch, but was not nearly as impressive as others made it out to be in that manner. This was when I was relatively new to bags. I thought that if it had been as soft as others made it out to be, I would've kept it for tactile sensations, LOL. Lesson learned: Don't buy a bag just because it has a reputation for something that you can't see for yourself. Go to the store and explore.

Chloe Heloise tote. The first time I took it out the strap broke. Sent it back to the Chloe store where I bought it (in another state). They didn't do refunds, so I had to take an exchange. They sent one back to me, but the fedex/ups (can't remember which) person dropped it off AT THE WRONG APARTMENT BUILDING!! The one next to us. After several days, I called and asked them where my bag was ... the chloe store maintained that it had been delivered. I told them it had not. They said "well we have to investigate, it's a federal case" implying that I was lying and keeping the bag for myself and wanting an extra bag or money or something. Finally fedex/ups investigated and figured out the truth, and chloe store sent me another bag which I picked up at the store this time. But I still haven't gotten over the fact that the store made me feel like I was a liar and thief when I was just the victim.

I will NEVER buy anything from chloe again.

Btw, after about a year of use the strap broke off AGAIN. I repaired it at a shoe store for $15 (the chloe store wanted to charge me much more). However, straps shouldn't be breaking on a >$1000 bag.
