What's the most disappointing bag you've ever bought?

Nancy Gonzalez croc clutch -- the magnetic closure is so strong it demagnitizes credit cards and hotel room keys that are placed in the bag. One Amex, one ATM card and one hotel room key later... The worst was having to go back to the lobby of my hotel to get a new key after a full day in heels that were too high for an hour - and I did 8hrs in them. That was the most painful walk of my life. Stupid bag!!!

louis vuitton illovo. i researched and wanted it for so long and when i got it it was so hard to get in and out of. the zipper was a pain in the neck, ugh. i totally hated it. was so happy to finally sell it.

also i'm not in love with my botkier trigger. i love the color (eggplant) but it's kind of heavy and i hate all the compartments. i find it annoying to find things in all the different areas (even though i love the compartments in my new to me chanel- it's just something about this bag). it's good to travel with though because i can throw it around and it fits a lot. i should just sell it...

Gucci's Large Horsebit Hobo, in Cognac. The bag is an absolute pain to carry.

Really? I have to tell you it is good for me to hear that, so thank you...this bag (in red) is my "one that got away" and I have been thinking of that bag ever since- but to know it is a pain to carry actually makes me feel better...now I can let it go!:shame:

Mine would be a MJ Stam. I loved the beautiful metallic gold color, but it weighed a TON. With nothing in it! After I put everything in it,forget it. I couldda knocked someone out it was so heavy. lol. I think it was the chains. Way to thick. So I ended up selling it.

- I love LV and Epi leather but I bought an Alma and ended up bringing it back. For a large bag it didn't hold nearly as much as I thought it would. When I closed it the zipper puckered and the bag wouldn't hold it's shape at the top. It was so weird. The SA suggested I try the mono one but I passed.

I wouldn't call it a disappointment, but I hardly get any use out of my leather Coccinelle hobo :( It just doesn't go with any of my outfits. I haven't used it in over a year! I love it and couldn't bear to part with it though.

I'm a huge Coccinelle fan and have worn my first Coccinelle bag to death over the last 10 years.

Can you post pics of yours so I can see it?

I hate to say it but my Balenciaga City. I mean it's nice, I just expected to be wow'd by it, and I'm not. I know I can sell pretty easily, I will keep it, but for the price it seems pretty fragile. I like my RM's so much better.

ha, I was just re-reading this thread and saw that I had posted this about my beloved bbag! This has become one of my most favorite bags and would NEVER think of getting rid of it now. I really appreciated the lightness of this bag and have gotten a couple of other bbags since.

Now my most disappointing is my MJ blake in fuschia. It has the suede lining and it just kills my shoulder and arm after very short spurts of carrying it. It's also my most favorite color handbag I own so I continue to carry it but no shopping with it. My second most disappointing bag would be my MJ venitia in pomegranate just cause I hate red! love the style, I wish I could have the venitia in fuschia, then I'd be so much happier!

Another recent bummer was a Marni Balloon bag I just 'had to have' when I saw a pic of Cameron Diaz with a yellow one. I found this bag really in the way most of the time and could never find anything in it as it was so big. And I found the carrying handle uncomfortable. Interestingly, when I mailed friends to tell them I'd got one, they'd heard of it and thought it was gorgeous. But nobody complimented me on it when they saw it IRL! The bag is still gathering dust in m closet. I might try and use it as an occasional shopper or something.
Oh, snap! I had a green one for exactly 5 hours before it went back to Barneys. The color was stunning and the shape was cute, but the leather was so thin and felt like vinyl. The interior lining was nylon, which felt like plastic. If anything was put in the bag it crumpled up and looked like a shriveled up balloon - I guess that's where the name came from. What's sad is that I saw this at Barneys in NYC and when I got home to Texas I couldn't stop thinking about it. I didn't get to hold it when I first saw it because it was in a display case with a locked door, so I kept thinking about it. When it arrived I just took one look at it and wanted to love it but couldn't. I replaced it with a PS1 and couldn't be happier.

Buxton shoulder bag organizer- the As Seen on TV product.

It had flimsy cheap nylon slots and lining; mostly thin lamb leather that was harder than your standard lamb in many parts; huge gaps on either side of the flap w/ a flip-flopping compartment so things weren't securely in; cheap hardware; very superficial paint job; took too much thought and planning to fit nearly as much as they showed on TV and be able to close it completely at the clasp; magnetic clasp would easily rip through the, again, cheap lining; and really not "chic" like they claim. There are prob more issues w/ it, but I'll leave it at that for now.

my LV batignolles horizontal. I purchased brand new at LV store in downtown seattle for $835 plus tax (in 2006, if Im not mistaken). later that year, I found out the price was dropped to $715! and I couldnt do anything nor return it nor to ask for refund. very dissapointing customer service from US Louis Vuitton. never sale eh? so wrong.
