What's the most disappointing bag you've ever bought?

A Chloe bag. I can't for the life of me remember the name its been a while, it'll probably come to me later. It was too big and heavy for me I had to get rid of it.

And years ago a Dior boston charms bag and wallet. The leather lining seam in the inside pocket started to come undone and the same with the wallet on one of the money slots. I guess they don't use very strong glue or something??

I haven't bought another chloe or Dior since...

Am I the only one who's slightly freaked about the amount of defects in these expensive bags? I've read this entire thread & I find it terribly alarming to hear how many bags have problems with the bleeding, picking, zippers, etc...Is NOTHING made well anymore? I was at Nordstrom several weeks ago looking at a Kooba & the zipper broke off in my hand! I thought Kooba was supposed to be good?
It is unbelievable - seems like a lot are Chloe bags too, which I have one on my wishlist.
Anyway, I haven't been disappointed with any of my bags as far as quality goes. Only with some of the choices I've made in regards to size, such as my balenciaga first. Too small.

It seems to me, after reading this entire thread, there are very few designers out there whose bags are immune to blatant defects and poor workmanship. When I buy a bag at any price, I really expect that it holds up to daily use, and I really try to make that determination when I buy the bag hands on. I would just be so angry if a bag that I paid over $1000 for fell apart after a few outings. I guess I have had a few dissapointing bags, but they didn't have poor workmanship flaws, but bags that I thought I could use....like a satchel, but after using this type, I knew that I was not a satchel type of person.

Oh my goodness, I never would have guessed that so many of you have experienced Chloe defects. I'm thinking twice about that Heloise now.. or the purple Bay that's been calling my name for months...

Mine would have to be the cream-colored leather Michael Kors bag I bought 3-4 years ago (I don't know the name). It is so poorly made; the handles are cracking and the bag has totally lost its shape. I am going to try to sell it at a consignment shop but I really don't know if they'll accept it.

My Coach tattersal tote. I bought it at the outlet on sale, its a cute spring/summer bag, but I hate the zipper, and how short the handles are. It also gets dirty SO EASILY, I brought it to school, and had it on the bus, leaning against the seat in front of me, and it got all dirty!

I know and Chloe is not cheap! However, I still may have to take a chance and find out for myself, lol

Probably a Botkier - the workmanship is great, but I loved the pics, but didn't like it in the flesh, so to speak (so more about my preferences than anything else). I must get around to selling it :push:

Mine is a Dior hobo. I'm not happy with the quality at all and the design isn't for me either. What was I thinking?! I'd sell it but I think I won't get more than maybe 50Euro for it... what a waste!

i'm going to have to say my chanel gst. not for quality issues, but just because i had purchased it thinking it was going to be this practical, super roomy, sling-it-on-and-go kind of bag, but it turns out to really barely hold anything, it's very heavy, and it does NOT stay on the shoulder. i heard over time the straps would break in and mold to your shoulder, but no, they don't. every time i carry it i need to be holding stuff in my hand because it doesn't fit, then it would constantly be sliding off my shoulders. all i feel is irritation when i carry it now.

another one is gucci aviatrix. it's my fault because i was so in love with it that i purchased it without much consideration for practicality. but first time i carried it out, i realized there was no way to get in and out of it without setting it down and using both hands. you have to unbuckle it with both hands, the strap over the zipper is hard to keep flipped over, so you have to hold it in place while using the other hand to unzip it around.......ugh. plus, i somehow chose suede so any color transfers so easily onto it. sigh.

Goldenbleu Jordan in black leather. I thought the hardware would feel much more substantial but it acutally felt and looked cheap. Shame too because it is a gourgeous bag.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr Q Groovee. I loved the way it looked...versatile, can wear for business or with jeans. I paid full price for it but when I got it home I decided the loose fabric lining was not for me and the strap was a tight fit over shoulder. Other people love this bag. I've seen people post that they have it in more than one color. Just goes to show, everyone is different.

I am disappointed in my RM Nikki. It's not a quality issue, the leather is great and the bag is pretty when nothing is in it. I don't like the way the bag looks once I fill it up with my stuff. I don't carry that much but it just has a sloppy overstuffed look and this is the Nikki not the mini Nikki. I bought the bag during the "black friday" sale so I couldn't return it. So for now I am using it. I am on a bag ban so I can't buy a new bag until the spring/summer and maybe not even then.

Tano. I tried a Tano bag after reading some comments on the Sub-forum. I figured it could be a nice decent-quality leather bag to have when I am vacationing and don't want to bring the more expensive stuff. I took it out of the box and knew immediately that is was going back. The leather was not nice quality at all - in fact, I thought it looked like vinyl. It had a weird smell and looked and felt kinda dirty. It got sent back the very same day.
