I went on a no kids trip with a friend to Lyon and was trying to figure out what would be the optimal bag to bring and I dug out this Tumi voyager nylon xbody. I haven't used this bag for over a year now (it was my pandemic everyday bag for all of 2020) I stl recall its lightness and roominess. But I was still shocked again by how much it carries.

Yes all of this was hidden in this bag.

On the left was in the outer pocket, I had my fresh SPF lipgloss and cough drops.

Middle column went in the middle hidden pocket, which included my sunglasses, my phone, and my lv empreinte recto Reverso wallet+key.

On the right is the big main pocket items. And it's like those Russian doll toys. Bags within bags. I had my umbrella, then my 04 seafoam Bal make up clutch that is filled to the brim with...wet wipes, spray hand sanitizer, pen, emergency snack, pen, and a coach pouch filled with...

Emergency charger, headset, earbuds, sanitary napkins, tissue, allergy pills...

I cannot believe it when I had a bottle of water I was holding and managed to throw it in the bag too.

Incredible nylon bag!

Sold my Selena Gomez x coach fancy pack and bought this 15 dollar Uniqlo bag that I thought was orange...inside the sim yellow Uniqlo lighting...except it's not....

Apparently it says red on the website and looks pink in this photo above.

I brought it to work and it's still under natural light. Coral in color.

It's clearly not red next to my red empreinte clé, and closer to orange like my zippy coin in piment.

My love for nylon bags keeps increasing. I managed to fit a whole wrap in there from pret à manger

So, I was working in my home office chair and I felt something on my head. I brushed my head and wondered 'what was that?'. I was wearing a wrap over my clothes and looked down and there was a terrifying camel cricket on the right side of my chest.

I was holding peppermint tea. I sprang up! The hot tea splashed on my hand. I spilled some on my work computer. I yelped and threw the wrap off my body while flailing. It was so terrible. :wtf::panic::crybaby:
Where was it? I didn't see it! I got a broom to prepare to send it to the underworld. Could it have gone inside my handbag, which was right next to me?! I used the broom handle to lift the bag up by its top handle and carried it to another room. I bravely grabbed it with my bare hands and turned it upside down and shook until everything fell out. I got a flashlight and directed it inside the bag. No cricket. I figured, "might as well use this moment to take a pic for what's in my bag". You will now understand the disarray:

Car key, Coachies card holder, pouch with toiletries and such, lip gloss, portable battery, Brahim compact wallet, cords for charging stuff, cell phone stand, floss, lip balm, mini spray deodorant, ups tracking slip, random receipt

I never found the cricket. :(

I totally get this! That would be me as well. Perhaps you scared Jimminy right to the underworld.

OMG a little poop might have come out if that had happened to me!

But kudos for having the bravery to actually go through your bag despite the possibility of a humongous beast possibly hiding in it. I probably would just have taken the bag out to my balcony and left it there until further notice...

 You are brave, Nyeredzi the Overlander! Your bag is looking pretty even sitting on the floor. I hope cricket went away and stays outside. :)

@Molly0 @Amazona @tealocean Thank you! I saw it (or possibly another one?) on the kitchen floor last night. I sprayed it and killed it. Hopefully I will not be attacked again. I know, logically, that it's just a cricket and literally cannot harm me. But I can't help it, it's so scary! This particular kind of cricket has a defense mechanism where they actually jump towards aggressors because it tends to startle predators. And it works, because if this monster jumps towards me, my natural inclination is to run away. I've actually gotten brave enough to capture regular field crickets in a container and put them outside, but if you get near one of these, they leap towards you, so I can't do that with them. Oh well, guess they gotta die.

Ooohh that's not a nice cricket that jumps at you just to scare the *bleep* out of you! And probably not the smartest one either...

Either way, I must congratulate you for showing the true spirit of a tPFer and stopping to take a photo in the midst of all this mayhem and the apparent battle between life and death. :coolio:

Is that the polene numero 9?

Took out my LV LP Cuir M for the first time since I had it redyed 3 years ago.
It's been a long time since I've carried such an unstructured bag and it's a constant mess inside.
Here she is, with the amazing organization I have going on inside, with a couple of things hanging outside:

Contents:

Mint candy, makeup, umbrella
Misc. pouch, single glove (I had my phone in it in the morning as it was -2c and as we know, iPhones don't survive winter temperatures), pharmacy
Kipling tech pouch, keyholder, documents and hair ties, Furla wallet, tissue.
Missing: iPhone 6S, lunch box.

...and how she looks after I repacked it.

The bag "jewelry" are both reflectors. We have 7 hrs of daylight ATM so it's dark when I walk to the office and pitch black when I walk home. My lunch bag is also made of reflective fabric.

cool! where did you get your reflector accessories? I live in MN so I feel you on the darkness during work commuting hours. As someone who tends to wear dark clothes all the time and commutes by bus/train/foot, I am frequently worried about visibility in those dark hours!

I bought the tassel from a home supply store and the plastic heart I got from a fair.
Reflectors are something everyone in Finland has like 20 of as it's actually cited in the traffic law that people moving by foot have to wear one. You can find similar tassels on Etsy, just search "reflective tassel". I also found some plastic ones on Amazon.com, they come in all sorts of shapes. If you want something a bit less noisy, soft reflectors are the way to go. Funflector has several on Amazon.

Such a beautiful bag! I'm not even a pink/red/purple bag girl, but this color is so lovely. Also, nice to know I'm not the only one keeping my phone inside a glove when it's cold outside!
