So after all these years, I've finally seen one irl here locally. I usually do NOT buy full retail when the bag is not a premier designer (because I've discovered that you really don't have to most of the time)! Nevertheless, I have bit the bullet today for this one as I know I'm going to LOVE her...not just looking at her but using her all the time!

One reason that prompted me to *not mull it over* anymore is because the Bay staff did not get around to putting all the Canadian price stickers on the new Botkiers yet, so I get a tiny discount that way...same as USA msrp $595 and I used a small $25 gift card today.

Over the years, I have wanted the Venice satchel in black, Harper satchel and Howard Street satchel but some other bag always bumped the Botkier bags...I believe I have to forgo my 2nd Dooney florentine satchel in natural now because I just bought this AND I have my eye on my 2nd Botkier already: Eloise satchel in tobacco but I must pace myself...not to mention that the Dooney florentine satchel & the Botkier Eloise satchel in tobacco have a bit of resemblance to one another...the bag obsession continues...

Just got it! It's the Eloise in tobacco, and I luv luv luv it!! Details, soft leather, perfect size, great color, lightweight; really just everything you could ask for in a bag. My only wish would be that it had protective feet; I feel like that should be on all bags.

PS What is the long gold chain inside for?

I've been admiring this bag for a while, and I finally found a new one at a good price I hope the leather is soft and lovely I enjoy trying new brands, but it also worries me a tad. Most I am very happy with but every now and then I regret my purchase and end up giving the bag away. I doubt that'll happen here though!

I'm new to the forum, and have been browsing for posts for the Botkier Apollo Satchel. Unless my forum search skills are worse than I imagine I haven't found any posts of people who have this bag. I've been obsessing over it for months now, and finally bought it (should have it in hand by the end of this week). Maybe i've been lucky enough to fall in love with one of Botkier's less popular styles (which would help explain the sale price I bought it for Anyway, the Apollo was my introduction to Botkier, and I have since fallen in love with several other Botkier bags. If my self-restraint holds out, I will likely lust after them from afar, unless I find a really good deal on one. My budget does not accomodate my taste for accessories
