I regret getting a bunch of cheap SLGs instead of buying the specific, more expensive SLG I wanted.

I spent twice basically. Never settle for something if you are set on a specific item.

Anything that wasn't a tried and true classic. A MJ bag I got on sale . . . I bought and returned a few Coach bags that were trendy-ish. A big one I regret was the LV empreinte speedy. I know a lot of ppl love this bag and I can see it being a classic, but I chose a boring color (terre) and it was a lot heavier and more expensive than the canvas speedies and it didn't really replace the feeling of the original mono speedy for me.

Chloe Marcie bag in Tan. I wish I bought the light grey instead. :D Also a Max Mara Clutch which I find difficult to open the clasp.

I am getting a marcie soon!
I wanted a lighter colour but I thought it would be safer/less chance of transfer and much easier to get it in tan.

Thanks for making me rethink my purchase! :p

A few years ago I bought a Hayden-Harnett bag that was part of their limited edition Pirates of the Caribbean collection. I have some mixed feelings about it. Part of me regrets it because I really don't wear it that much, it can get heavy and a bit noisy with the metal, and there are a lot of details that make the bag look busy. The other part of me still really likes the bag because it works well with some of my casual outfits and the leather is fantastic. If I have to be honest with myself, I bought the bag because I got it at a great sale price and I'm a Pirates fan. If the bag was still available today, though, I don't think I would have gotten it. I definitely learned to think about an item before I make a purchase.

I wanted a MK Hamilton Satchel in Luggage, but a friend at work told me a store nearby was having a sale so I ended up buing a MK Hamilton Tote in Mandarin Saffiano leather instead just because I got it for -40 %. My husband hated it on first sight and I started disliking it for it's size and the color that didn't really go with anything I had.

I sold it for what I had paid for it, and bought the MK Hamilton in Luggage Saffiano GHW only to come home and realize that I really did not like how stiff the Saffiano leather is. I called the store and asked them to put aside the same bag in regular leather and SHW. I went back to return the Saffiano for the regular leather, but by this time I was so sick and tired of googling the Hamilton, reading about it on the internet and the whole Hamilton thing in general, that the regular leather one just didn't appeal to me at all.

I spotted a MK Bedford Tote LG in Luggage that I had been eying weeks earlier and it just spoke to me, so I 'dumbed' the Hamilton and got the Bedford instead. It just feels like it's 'my bag'.

I hate it when I get like that about something as 'trivial' as a purse. Shouldn't a normal person just be able to pick out something they like and then just stick to it? All the time and energy wasted...

Whoever accused us "purse fanatics" of normality? Lol. Seriously, I think it just takes time to find what fits. Please don't be too hard on yourself, I'm sure quite a few of us do the exact same thing. I know I do. :)

Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC in grey. It's a cute bag, but I find the chain to be so cumbersome/heavy that I have only worn it 2-3 times in the past couple of years. I definitely jumped on the bandwagon purchasing it and regret it.

I regret buying what I didn't absolutely love and several bags from avg designers that I no longer care for. Once you start to collect and purchase designer bags it's hard to appreciate the lesser quality and avg design.

I'd rather have a few great bags than a doz avg ones that after a year I tire of if they don't fall apart first.
