"What was I thinking?" Bag purchases you regret...

Admittedly, I've been on a kick lately but I've done so much buying and returning/selling recently - it's hard to keep track. Some of the returning had to do with buying pre-loved that turned out to be fake (ugh, that is annoying), and others had to do with the fact that the bags just didn't suit me like I thought they would.
The ones that I regret would be the Alexander Wang Rockie in Latte with Rose Gold Hardware and a pre-loved Chanel Cambon Tote in Pink (medium size). Thankfully, I was able to return the Rockie and am in the process of selling the Cambon tote. Nothing against either of these bags - they are both beautiful - just didn't work for me.
Also, I think part had to do with the fact that I recently got my first Balenciaga and fell head over heels in love - so much so that it kind of makes me not like other things that I have.
Uh oh :panic:

For me it's Lanvin Heroine. After I lost on this vintage Cartier saddle bag on Ebay (France) I made it my mission 6 years ago to find the perfect brown bag. I went to Ebay (AU) and saw this light tan Lanvin with blue trim. It's pretty and the leather fells really good. It was just a very impractical design for me. I sold it on Ebay eventually.

I bought a Lanvin bag at a high-end resale shop in Boston and it was the worst ever. I bought it because of the designer name, embarrassingly enough, and because I loved the material -- a really cool, gold/black metallic leather (hard to explain but looked really pretty) -- but did I mention that the bag was the size of a garbage bag? Literally -- I carried it once and it was like lugging a huge Hefty Glad Bag over my shoulder. When I bought it, my husband just looked at me, laughed, and shook his head. Since the consignment shop does final sales only, I immediately put that baby on ebay and sold it for whatever I could get.

Two Gucci hobos. One was a very pretty camel color and lovely Marrakesh style, but even with waterproofing it showed every little drop of water. I tried Apple Cleaner to get the water spots out, which turned it orange :(. The other was lavender and large. I worried about the leather, which was calfskin and very delicate, and also ultimately decided that it looked like a pink blob. I re-sold it on eBay still new.

My Prada BN1801 (nero). Although it is a beautiful bag, I feel it is too small for my frame and for my needs. I end up using it only for work, when I don't need to carry much. I feel it is not adequate (or practical) as a weekend bag, paired with jeans or anything like that...

My Mulberry bayswater :(. I love the bag but too big for my frame and it is also too heavy. It might be good work bag but I no longer go to office (have other biz) and I don't want to use as everyday bag because of its weight.

Prolly a coach i impulsively bought when they wwere having a 30 percent off half a decade back. Another one bag i regretted getting is a late spade monogram bag. One other bag i am half regretting getting is my beige gst from Berlin last year. IIt's prettyto llook at, but not quitepractical for me. Too boxy and kknocks into almost everything. :(

My LV antheia hobo in suede. A very delicate bag that is prone to color transfer from any dark clothing or jeans and gets watermarks from a single drop of rain. It is lined with black lamb skin which scratches easily and marks light colored slg's. I have used this bag twice, a very expensive mistake.

Louis Vuitton DE Alma PM. I love the style of the Alma, and I thought I'd like canvas because of its durability but the canvas is too loud for me. It doesn't go with my wardrobe and I prefer Epi.

Prada 1801 in Orchidea. Too small and the colour is too light.

I am having a devil of a time selling them too. I really regret these purchases. :shucks:

A Loewe Heritage satchel that I bought as a present to myself for my 30th birthday. I loved it in the store, and on the Internet, etc... But once it came home, I started to find it too big, too "bling bling" (big logo LOEWE on the flap), too everything...
It sat with tags im my closet until I decided to sell it. Fortunately I could sell ot finally and I pnly lost 165 euros from the original price :)

Since then, I prefer to wait, think and save money for these bags that I am sure that I will carry a lot, these bags which I would like to wear the same day of purchase.
