I regret buying my Chanel 227 Red Metallic reissue! Have used it ONCE and it has been sitting in my closet for years. With working in a rather conservative environment and not going out much, I just feel it has been a waste. But Im terrified of sellin it online because of scams! But my mom's friend who is a huge collector is interested, so may sell to her at a slight loss....

(My searches didn't show a generic thread for any brand/designer. Please let me know if there are.)

You know that bag. You saw it at the store or online and it grabbed you and followed you home. You unwrapped it, loved it for a moment, then never used it. Perhaps the color looked different in the sun, or the zipper is too sticky, the opening too small, you're afraid it will get scratched, dirty or ruined if worn, or the <blanking> flap you have to open every time you want something inside.

What have you bought that you now regret and why? And what did you do with that bag? Keep it? Sell it? Give it away? And if you got rid of it, do you now regret giving it away?

TIA

Bought a Burberry Prorsum Knight bag in Korea when the season ended....haven't carried it more than twice (it weighs more than my golden retriever)...I don't really regret buying the bag, but it's more eyecandy than armcandy,

You can always sell to consignment shop like yoogis or fashionphile

My Goyard St Louis tote. I absolutely loved and adored this bag from afar for years and took the plunge without doing my research and a few month later and some cracked, damaged handles on a bag that cost over 1k taught me my lesson. Come to find out this was/is the norm on these bags and I learned the hard way, never again. I'll buy another Goyard in the future but it will be after much research and it won't be a St. Louis:nogood:

Coach Gigi...was too heavy for me, I gave it to my daughter.

Couple of Burberry bags that have the heavy hardware and are just too big for me. I'm thinking I may sell them to fund another Balenciaga bag :graucho:

I have a gray Sorial brand bag that I got from BlueFly..it's lovely, nice medium size and not too heavy...but I have only carried it a few times. Guess it will get sold too.

Anything "cute" like Tokidoki or Harajuku Lovers or some of my more whimsical Le Sportsacs. I bought some when I was in my crossover years, 20's going into 30's, and now I just think they look juvenile and ridiculous.

My first "designer" bag - Isabella Fiore. It was reaeeeeeeaaally heavy with the chain. I should've spent that $ on an LV instead.

I have two Isabella Fiore's as well, but I regret them mostly because they look very early 2000's. Some of her designs didn't stand the test of time well (the flashier and more heavily printed/beaded ones in particular).

I know what you mean. I think they make the perfect makeup pouches since the prints are so fun, but for me, their style is too in your face and "cute" for the kind of outfits I wear.

People of all ages use Longchamp. When I see someone much older than me carrying one I think "good for them".

Me too! If I already own a bag I'm not going to stop carrying it based on the fact that someone else is carrying it, even if they are way older/younger or not fashionable or whatever. Hell, I might be the one that someone sees and thinks they don't want to have the same bag as me! I don't always dress up when I go out. However I will admit that if I don't already have a bag and I see it in an unflattering context that might stop me from buying it.

Alexander Wang rocco bag...though i dreamt for this bag for years and feel so happy when i got it (i got 2 awang), but by the time i've find that my wangs are so damn heavy...and sometimes i feel pain in my shoulder whenever i take my wangs...but the bag is lovely for sure!! and another regret is the bag is made in china...when you spent lots of money for one designer bag, you should want the bag is well made...and i saw many people who owns wangs complain about the stitch, well maybe because of the heavy hardware makes the stitch losen up...but it still not happen with my wangs...cause i seldom to use it...so that i feel regret....i suppose to buy other designer bags that i can always use...
