My first "designer" bag - Isabella Fiore. It was reaeeeeeeaaally heavy with the chain. I should've spent that $ on an LV instead.

Have to laugh. I, too, have an IF that is verrrry heavy. It's black with calf hair and whip stitching and grommets. Big bad black
Hobo. I once asked my sister to hold it for me for a sec and she said, "Only if I can burn it!"

I regret my Kate Spade Rosa Valley satchel. Far too small, no room in the bag and by the time I figured it out, I had spilled make up in it and can't even sell it now. I keep forcing myself to use it for another couple of months until I can justify another purchase (I keep telling myself I need to get 6 months worth of use before I can justify a new bag, I'm currently on 4).

I went through this with my Gucci sukey bag. I loved it at first then hated the color. The fact it didn't have a zipper. Also because it was the khaki color and not black. I was furious when an expensive bag like that didn't have studs to protect the base. I eventually sold and bought a new bag. Thank goodness. Love Gucci but that bag wasn't for me.

There is a long list A never-ending chronicle which I call The Purse Follies! Before I joined this forum, I purchased lots of Coach new and used. I used to hoard them and then resell on the Bay. Got very good at it. My new purchases: anything in signature: duffles, totes, clutches. About six like that. The white/black Hamptons bags. I should never wear a white bag. I live in a big dirty city in the north and am the biggest clutz! Ghurka bag which was too geriatric looking. One folly made me very sad: the Azur Speedy 30. As beautiful as it is, it is not "me." Somehow the darker bags match me better. My other purchase which I regretted was the petite papillon. It was too clumsy and didn't suit my lifestyle. The list is endless. That is why I personally think that the handbag industry is in no danger of dying. Good or bad, we have to have purses and are always in the pursuit of the perfect one. It's like the search for the holy grail.

I bought the Marc Jacobs Large Single in Nude when it first came out. I used it three times and ended up selling it after a year. A year after that, I somehow had the bright idea of buying the Small Black Single--used it twice and ended up selling it after a year. Lesson finally learned, no more MJ Singles!

My Louis Vuitton Aquarelle Papillon. The shape didn't suit at all, and was a total deviation from the bags I normally carried, though I deeply adored the print. I got one the day they were released, and carried it a few times, but it just didn't work and I deeply regretted spending so much money on it. Fortunately I was able to sell it for what I paid--

and I just got my aquarelle Speedy, which has been my grail bag since. :) I held out for years trying to find a like-new, perfect one with little or no patina... and now she is mine! :yahoo:

The Burberry Manor (all leather) - had to have it - paid $900 for it on sale, it drove me nuts - too heavy, no shoulder strap - totally impractical for me who is in and and of a plane all the time for work. I ended up selling it to BBOS and got about $450 for it. No regrets!

My Gucci signoria bowler bag, was really really heavy. Even though if I could go back and do it over I would have bought something different, I still got quite a bit of wear out of it so I can't say it was a total loss.
