Hello all -
I would like some input and/or suggestions please! I am looking specifically for a metallic silver evening clutch. Primarily used for events, evenings, weddings, etc. I would prefer a clutch that could be turned into a shoulder/crossbody bag.
I'm trying to decide between maybe a YSL small monogram or a Chanel WOC but would like to hear other's opinions. Need something versatile and will stand the test of time (not too trendy).

You can't go wrong with YSL or Chanel. Have you looked at Dior? They make beautiful clutches/WOCs. I was in the store looking at these, trying to decide which color to get. I think my favorite is the Diorama. Here are some in silver.

Would second Dior being great. Quality is awesome, and not quite as common as YSL or Chanel. The diorama comes out with some great evening colors! Metallic reds and golds and silver
My favorite evening bag choice is by far Judith Leiber. Otherwise, I have a black in Rodo, silver in Jimmy Choo, Gold (oops I forgot). But the 2 I cherish are the pink crystal ombre JL. The one that SJP carried in SATC. I work my evening wardrobe around that one! 
And my new to me JL in a Blue & Silver crystal little bird. I'm wearing that to a wedding next weekend. All of these evening bags have a long chain that can go over the shoulder or even to cross body then fold into the bag for hand carry. I only have one in each color. But each one will last a lifetime.

If its a formal occasion i'd go with YSL wallet on chain. I have a couple & have passed up chanel woc's to get the ysl's. The Ysl(the ones that retail at $1550) are a perfect size and can actually fit quite alot once you get your technique down. The envelope silhouette is classy & unique. My sister just got married & my mom borrowed my Metallic gold ysl wallet on chain & she constantly had people coming up to her complimenting her & asking where she got it. The chain is gorgeous as well & definitely catches the eye from far away.
