What is the perfect evening/event bag?

My two favorite are from Coach:



I also like Rebecca Minkoff mini Mac crossbodies for evening bags and Thacker mini bucket bracelet bags (ironically this is a knockoff version of Chloe/etc sold at Nordstrom/etc, but I like the simplicity and thinner bangle).

I like the look of the Rebecca Minkoff mini Mac crossbody (black with gold hardware), I think I'd actually like using it as an everyday bag or for a fun night out bag.

Update: I ended up eventually receiving a Chanel mini flap bag as a gift, and I'm looking forward to use it as an evening bag, hopefully in the future, when there are those types of events to go to again. I think it will be the perfect evening bag!

Usually I'll go for my Comme des Garçons pouch (as carried by Carolyn Bessette in the photo below). It goes with everything and holds quite a lot. I think it's chic and easy.

Totally unoriginal, but my Chanel WOC in black, caviar with SHW. It carries just enough, and I tuck the chain inside to wear it as a clutch.

I was at a vow renewal that was not fancy but dressed nicely so I took my light blue woc with the bejeweled logo. It was perfectly appropriate.

For a more formal event I would either take my black snakeskin long wallet or my Bvlgari karung bag in light gold ( though that does get heavy)

I do love the Bvlgari bags, every time I see one I think they looks so elegant. I don’t have one but it’s certainly a beautiful bag for evening wear.

I personally think the mini Lady Dior bag. Not sure it would fit many phones though but this is my dream evening bag.
