What is the most that you'd spend on a handbag?

My limits about $2000 in some circumstances. It also depends on the brand, some brands I don't think are worth the asking price but that's just an opinion. I spent $2000 on one bag and that's the most I've spent. I mainly buy bags on sale that are between $1000-2000 and they cost me under $1000 at the sale price. It also depends what phase im going through.
I do have some bags that I love but never use much and so I wish I'd not have spent the money but at the time I wanted them.

I found that most of the bags I love come preloved as well (yes, that includes Hermes - I got my Bolide preloved), so I've hardly spend more than half the retail price since. Some bags are harder to come by preloved, but I don't mind waiting - my next bag will be another Bolide or a Victoria (both by H), and I'm hoping to spend no more than 2,500 euros

I have 3 that cost $298 each and 1 that cost $198 and a few no-names that were under $50. I'd love an LV but whenever I think about it seriously I think I could get two or three Coach or LAMB bags for the same price.

I agree with alatrop. I have a nice, small collection of much better bags than I ever had before a couple of years ago, and if I get one every two years from now on I'll be happy. Best wishes on your wedding alatrop!

Thank you! :flowers:

I had 2 LV bags once upon a time and they are very durable, but just not for me.

I am at present lusting, craving, obsessing over a Gucci bag and feel I will make the plunge but am upset it is so costly as I don't believe any manufacturer is worth over a certain amount. Hence, my contradiction-dlilemma. :sweatdrop::cry: After this purchase I want to get off this spiraling cost treadmill!

In the last 4 years my limits have changed. About 3-4 years ago, I spent $1000 for a bag and $400 for a wallet - and those were my top limits. Now, I'm consider $2000 as my bag limit, and $800-900 for a wallet.

I realize that the biggest difference is that I spend more time considering a big purchase. Conversely, I make impulsive, quick decisions on items that I think of as "ONLY" $100-200.

geeesh....so after the birkin I got like months ago, I told my self that I would behave and would probably spend something like that after a year...yesterday was my birthday and my SA surprised me w/ a call about a gold birkin....so shooot, there goes half of my birthday money..
