What is the most that you'd spend on a handbag?

I can't see myself spending more than about $800 on a bag. Maybe $900, if it was a Mulberry I really liked. Over $1000, only for a Bottega Veneta (my mom has one and it's the most gorgeous bag I've ever seen)....And only if I knew my DH wouldn't ban me from ever buying another bag!

The most I've spent for one bag is about $150, maybe a little more with shipping.
I can't see myself paying retail. You can get just about anything for less than retail.

The most I would pay? Dunno. Limit is still around $150-$200 right now.

Right now I have a really hard time going above $250, MAYbe 300. I'm sure that will change though. I nearly gave myself a stroke over paying $70 for a bag just this past March, (haha, slippery slope that was!) and there was a time when I wouldn't pay more than $15 for any 1 item of m/u.

I don't think I'll ever be able to shell out $$$$ for a bag just for my own reasons but I don't knock anyone who does & can still put food on their table! To each her own! :wlae:

I used to really put down no more than 50 bucks on any bag whatsoever and often avoided the designer bags b/c they towered over this in pricing. This didn't even have anything to do with my income; I just had a view of "if it's functional and durable for holding, get it." However, I've grown to become exceptionally more accepting of such prices since my fascination with handbags developed a bit.

I was looking to spend around £675 GBP ($1000 USD) on a bag for my wife for Christmas, but anything over that would be out of my price range, my most expensive bag was £200 GBP ($300 USD) but that was for my photography equipment and its only a drop in the ocean compared to how much some of the bags cost.

No doubt that my budget is only a fraction of what a lot of these bags seem to cost. I do think about what else I can put my money towards...like a couple grand on a bag or on a DLP 1080P HDTV? I'd pick the latter. However, if spending 1, 2, 3, 4,000+ on a bag works for you and you can cover your and your dependents' needs and even other essential wants, so be it.
