Probably the tackiest and gaudiest bag out there, the Louis Vuitton Fringe Bucket and Fringe speedy in Black. I have both. I can actually say they arent mine, well I paid for them for a friend whos picking them up from me next week. I guess theres no accounting for taste.

Haven't spent more than £500 on a bag, but all my LV bits and bobs must add up to £2000!
That's quite a lot of money for me, though my husband reckons that I have spent £20,000 during my bag collecting life!!
Maybe - I shudder to think as most of them went to charity (they were non-designer).....

It seems i'm the poorest girl in the forum:crybaby: ...My most expensive bag is a black Furla shopping bag i bought 4 years ago and costed 110 euros...I'd like to buy more expensive ones, like Gucci, Mulberry, Burberry, but i need to save up for buying a house:sad:

No, not at all!! The most expensive bag I've ever purchased was about $900 with tax, but I returned it because I felt so guilty about spending that much money on a student budget (and trust me, I needed that money eventually, it was the right decision). The most expensive bag I've ever purchased and kept was about $350, and I'm still paying that one off of my no interest store charge card, so no more until that one's taken care of ;) All my others were in the $100-$150 range, pocket change compared to most of the bags on this site. Don't feel bad, feel proud to say "I bought a 110 euro bag AND a house!" You'll find that almost all the ladies and gents here respect a gal living within her means.

Temporary sacrifice for a long term gain. I commend you on having your priorities straight. My most expensive bag was probably $70 before I bought a home in 2003. For two years prior to that I saved and sacrificed all shopping, dining out, hair salon trips etc. until I had saved my down payment and closing funds (also did no credit charges to improve my credit score) and then after I moved in I had to be frugal another 6 months because I needed to refinance to a better loan. Afterwards I was more concerned with furnishing my home and fixing it up vs. fashion. Once that was achieved, I THEN got into buying designer handbags (my first two were after receiving a nice bonus at work and from my first fat tax refund for deducting my mortgage interest) and can do so without guilt knowing I have an appreciating asset to house them in. So do not feel bad about it. Be proud of the goal you have set for yourself. You have many years to splurge afterwards and will have some equity to boot! A designer bag that contains a wallet with maxed out credit cards is not cute. A designer bag that contains the keys to a home that you own is fabulous! :wlae:
