I recently broke the thousand dollar mark *ugh* and bought a Chanel Large Cambon tote with black leather and black patent CC's. It came to $1726 including all the tax! But I've wanted this bag for..I want to say a couple years, it feels that way at least, so I finally went for it.

Unfortunately now that I've done it once, it will be easier to do from now on. *LOL* It's trouble my friends. The next one will be my Fendi Spy Bag that I'm actually getting a bargain on for $1600 brand new. Can't wait until I can pay that one off!

$1295 for my Balenciaga Part-Time and $1275 for my MJ Stam, respectively...and this is outside of taxes!

It's so true that once you break the $1000 mark, spending that much on a bag doesn't seem so bad...Personally I'm trying to get all the classics out of the way so I can avoid future price increases. Some bags are already pushing $2000 and at this rate, I soon won't be able to afford buying lovely handbags anymore :crybaby:

I love nice bags-but only on sale! I got my Mulberry Bayswater regular price $1195-but I paid $479. That's my biggest expenditure on any bag! The rest I've gotten on sale-even my MJ!

My most expensive was my red Chloe Paddington at £800. Good thing I still like it!
It was an exception and generally I don't like to go above £500. After the Chloe I'm trying to come down the scale not go up!

I'm with you, JNH14. All my nice bags have been on sale. My most expensive bag was my Ferrgamo camel satchel at $895 plus tax, but even that was on sale from $1300. Don't know if I can break the $1,000 mark quite yet, when everything seems to go on sale after a short time. Don't you just hate that?
