TEN BUCKS!

Okay, kidding. I can, in a good year, go up to $1,000 on a single bag, but after that it really becomes an issue of my family's well-being. I work for a University *and* am in grad school, so most of the time it comes down to car repairs, textbooks, and my son's needs over my bag habit.

Now that I've become hopelessly addicted to Hermes I can't really say what my limit would be. I just got an Evelyne but that was under $2000. But I have my sights set on a Kelly or a Bolide for next year. :graucho: I have to save, save, save!

Fortunately I haven't yet developed my Hermes obession....so as of now my upper limit is $2500 if it is a classic that I know I will wear for years to come. For something very trendy I'd say 800 is my upper limit.

Right now, I really don't know. Just a year ago I never thought I would spend over 1k on a bag but then I had an itch for a chanel for my birthday and end up spending over $1500 on a small tote bag . When I walked out that store, I spend close to $3500 (I bought my daughter a pink tote bag also and some accessories)I thought my dh:love: was going to flip, but like always, he was nice about it and said " happy bday to you sweetheart, I'm glad you had fun" Right now, I have my eyes on a few bags, but they're all under 2k

I've bought bags well over $1K in the past. I have a Chanel addiction! However, these days I'm limiting my handbag purchases to bags that don't cost a thousand freaking dollars. I've found that I don't even like any bags under $1,000, so therefore have not purchased any!

Do keepalls count as handbags. My Keepall 45. If that doesn't count then the amount I spent for a brand new Damier Speedy 30 plus strap will do it. $890? $860? Didn't think about these at the time. and don't want to think about it now. My spending is more modest than with others, but I guess it's all relative.

A few months ago I thought spending over $1000 was simply ludicrous!! But now, I own 4 bags over that mark. But seeing others on this forum spending thousands on a bag makes my heart flutter. There's a limit I won't go over, and I think for me it is $2000. Even when I'm a doctor and making good money, I don't think I could ever justify that to myself, especailly when I have kids around to save for!!
What about you, what's your handbag price limit?????

You say what your limit is right now but I think that ceiling is ever rising  Plus of course there is a time when inflation has made that $1K bag $2K....

My ceiling is falling. After starting at late $6,000 depending on forex for my Birkin, excluding a briefcase I'm now not considering anything more than ~$3000 equivalent. I had the chance to get the Wisteria Spy at the height of the craze but I couldn't take its almost $3,000 tag.
