What is the most that you'd spend on a handbag?

Price tags over $1200.00 scare me (although I expect it when I see a bag TDF). As a passionate traveler, I always think how I could have a plane ticket to somewhere fabulous for that money and I try to stay under a grand (which IMO is bad enough)!!

I think I've mentioned before that I haven't spent more than $40 or $50 bucks on a purse so far...but of COURSE the LV that I fell in love with is over $3,000!!!!! Unless I hit the lotto that's not going to happen for me. :(

I'd say that right now my limit is $500. But who knows how this forum will warp me. LOL

My limit WAS $1k including tax. But then I recently bought TWO Chanels this year and went into the realm of $2090 + tax. But I've decided that I really am not comfortable going over the $1k mark unless it's an absolutely GREAT bag...

I bought a Speedy 25 before the price increase, so I gues sthe 500-600 range. I cna't justify spending more than 200-300 normally.

The only item that I would break this rule for is a Cerises Speedy and maybe the Damier Azure speedy when it comes out.

Well, it used to be $500 but I blew the doors off that after y'all corrupted me at PF! :girlsigh: . After 2 LVs, 2 IFs and a Kooba I've gone waaay past $500 5 x's now and the bar is reset to $1500...which may raise yet again if this Paddy order comes in soon! :supacool:

Before I found this forum, I thought $300 for a Coach bag was a lot. Now, my limit keeps going higher and higher. So far, the most I've spent on a bag is $770, but I'm in the process of purchasing a bag from a friend for $1200. Eeekkk! LOL, my bf even got used to the increasing prices...we were looking at an YSL bag at NM the other week...I think it was $1100 and he was like "oh, that's not bad".

I don't think I could ever spend in the Hermes price range. Of course all this spending limit stuff is purely hypothetical for me right now because I'm a teenager with no source of income. I usually splurge on one expensive bag per year. Lately, however, I've been sticking to the mindframe that if I pass on a couple of $100 purses I can get save the money and get myself a nice pricey one. I'm a bit of an impulse buyer though so it's hard to resist the urge to buy, buy, buy. But I could totally drop $1200+ on the Chanel of my dreams without any guilt (if I had the cash).
